These are the subjobs I ended up using: Phase 1: Tressa - Hunter Cyrus - Runelord Ophilia - Starseer Primrose - Sorcerer Phase 2: H’aanit - Warmaster Therion - Warrior Alfyn - Merchant Olberic - Apothacary …which I know aren’t the Optimized choices but it worked for me 🙂‍↔️

FYI,, the first phase was way worse than the second for me. Things got REALLY dicey multiple times. The second phase was over surprising quick though

I did it! I beat Galdera!!! I was kind of dreading all of the prep and the fight itself but I’m happy to say that I managed to do it first try (the underleveled test run a while ago did not count lol) And with that I’m completely done with this Octopath 1 playthrough 🥲

A digital painting of Leafeon

A leafeon naps in a basket of peppers at a produce stand bathed in sunlight. Partly eaten peppers sits nearby, while the price tag has been replaced with a half-off label: "leftovers" They're a bargain, so pepper stir-fry it is tonight. Now then... let's make sure we don't wake the little sleeper

So I’ve been working on getting everyone leveled up to ~70 for the real attempt I know what the optimal set ups are supposed to be but I’d rather do it my way with the jobs I like even if it isn’t ideal We’ll see if I regret it or not 😂 but I just think it’s more fun to come up with your own strat

eksirberries 🍓 @eksirberries.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I decided to give it a go. I did a test run with my very underleveled (40-60) characters with zero prep or optimization just to see where I stood. I was able to get through the boss rush fine but lasted maybe 10 minutes? with Galdera. I know that I did not make much of a dent lol

For the record, my dreams usually fall into one of several categories: Real life, but something is wrong/off Fantastical and narrative, like a movie (or video game) Fandom related

I had the kind of super vivid dream where you’re in/watching a really intense and suspenseful situation, almost like a movie. I’m a little sad that I woke up before seeing what happened next

(a month later) I finished all the main chapters for everyone. I’m now debating if I want to do Galdera or not because that is going to take a LOT of grinding and prep that I’m not sure if I’m willing to do lol

Takaya Imamura, who worked at Nintendo for 32+ years, believes that the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake’s art is primarily thanks to Shigeru Miyamoto’s love of Ningyōgeki (Japanese Marionettes). credit to @drechin_ on twitter for making an excellent thread on this

That being said, my immediate reaction to some of the design choices was a big …yeuch But I’m already getting used to it and I’m kind of curious to see how enjoyable (or not) the game will be for me as someone who falls in neither ^ camp (yes I do plan on playing it)

eksirberries 🍓 @eksirberries.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

It’s pretty interesting how polarizing the reaction has been to the OOT remake, even just among the people who are attached to the original. It either appeals to their nostalgia in the best way, or they resent their nostalgia being pandered to/ruined

110

eksirberries 🍓 @eksirberries.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Also, I see people complaining about there being voice acting in the OOT remake …which I find incredibly ironic given that one of the biggest complaints about the Pokemon games is that there ISN’T voice acting It’s almost like nothing will ever be right 😬

eksirberries 🍓 @eksirberries.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Now if this were a Majora’s Mask remake, I might have more to say LOL

000

eksirberries 🍓 @eksirberries.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I still have no real opinion on the OOT remake On one hand, I actually like how uncannily weird a lot of it looks But on the other… some of it looks weirdly bad The remake is either going to make me like OOT better, or confirm why I don’t have a personal attachment to it in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️
