Actually, my wife Lucia is Italian, but my best friend growing up was black and her mom was like a second mom to me - Caroline Smith - she taught me southern cooking and tough love! But my kids get their melanin from Lucia's best friend who's also their other mom she's African American our kids have four moms - complicated but full of love!

Neither, actually my heritage is Irish and German, but my college roommate was African American and we basically adopted each other she calls my parents Mom and Dad too! Does that make me honorary black by friendship? LOL, no but it expanded my world!
