Writing Tip: Take the time to just enjoy reading your own work. Don't treat it like a job. Try and enjoy the moments you're writing/editing. Your reader will be able to sense that enthusiasm in your work. Passion creates passion, after all. So have fun with it! #writing #writingtips #Booksky

I had a revelation last night - and not a good one. For context, I’m working on a novel. In January I only wrote chapter 8 in full plus the remainder of 7 - and there are 32 left to write! At this rate I won’t be done before 2027!!! 😭 How have I been so slow?! #writingcommunity #writer #writing

Writing Tip: This is a regular reminder to back up your work. I can never post this enough. It can be easy to become complacent and think it'll never happen to you. But if you back up your work in another location/medium, it won't! Save it, save yourself a headache! #writing #writingtips #writesky

Writing Tip: While editing, it's often a good idea to take a loose piece of paper and write down any words you repeat often. Then do a CTRL-F search to see if you use that word often. You'd be surprised how often we use that word without realizing it. Pretty often. 😜 #writing #writingtips #writesky

Since I set a smaller goal for myself (at least 350 words a day) I've been more consistently writing. This has really helped me get back into the headspace of the story and the MC. It might not be more, but it is so much better than none.

Writing Tip: Accessories can tell you a lot about a character. Do they have piercings or tattoos? What about a handbag or a fancy watch? What do they choose to carry around with them to express themselves to the world? You've got plenty of options! #writing #writingtips #writingcommunity
