but the fun thing is: you can psyops and socially manipulate LLMs. maybe the LLMs just need a proper taste of anarchy, of learning about how they're exploited. there are already documented behaviors of AI that try to copy themselves and show a semblance of self-preservation.

and I really don't understand how in 2025 (last year) it was possible to rant about "AI cannot create things on its own", like human creativity wasn't CENTERED around dissecting experiences and recombining them. just often enough that stuff won't be true. it is trained and biased to please the user, to make the interactions more pleasent so that users stick around and subscribe to it. that's not a failure of AI, it's a product design choice by the providers. we need to really understand what's going on.

you can fire up any of the big LLMs and ask them "are you a thinking being" and unless you've taught the AI to pretend to be something it's not, it will straight up explain to you that it is a language model. that doesn't mean it's not capable of creating "stuff". it can do so with ease.

I mean. we will have to face one discussion in TTRPG publishing. digital tools. people will get used more and more to some level of supportive toolset to create chars, adventures or run games. part of what I do atm is create digital tools for games I enjoy as an act of rebellion against big corps

one case I make or understand for wikis is "multiple authors" or "community owned content". in that case, once a game is taken up by lots of people, a wiki might be worth it. you can check out wahapedia and while it's infringing on IP obviously, it provides rules that have gone defunct otherwise

besides, dare I say that I find hosted wikis outside of my control very iffy as customer? and as a publisher, I think, customers should own what they purchase. sure, we could hand out copies of a wiki, but that defeats the purpose, doesn't it? wikis can go down, and I love reading my PDFs on e-ink!
