Struggling with my usual indecision trying to decide which language to learn next. My life circumstances push me towards French, but a) I've regretted abandoning Japanese for literal years and b) I yearn to finally learn Georgian, and it would be useful, but it's SO DIFFICULT it's intimidating me

I'm using Procreate and Aseprite for art, but I do a lot of image editing and visual design too and so far Krita/GIMP can do many of the necessary things _in theory_, but it's often so slow and clunky it drives me up the wall.

I've tried and tried but never managed to make any of the old PS run for me, but admittedly I barely know what I'm doing here. For drawing and painting I'm covered by Procreate and Aseprite but quick image editing and design are the problems, so Photopea looks interesting, I'll take a look!

I'm generally happy with Linux so far, but every once in a while a task comes up where I desperately need to use Photoshop and I still haven't found a good enough solution. Only my hatred for Microsoft keeps me on the path, because this is a massive pain in the ass right now.

I take back my criticism of FWs character design, by the way. Considering the sheer number and variety of characters, the overall quality is very impressive, and the character illustrations are especially gorgeous. I think Chinatsu Kurahana is my favourite FE artist at this point.

I wish we knew Asumu's maiden surname. One of my ideas was that Battler, similar to the original setup, is long estranged from the family and is dragged back into the Ushiromiya affairs unwillingly. So he wouldn't use the family name. But Sumadera is even worse, so it can't be that either.

Oh yeah that's a cool idea for sure, I'm jotting that down.

Unfortunately most I can do is collect an outline document and do some pictures. Maybe I will at least do that one day! It's a lot of fun to plan even if I can't actually write it out.

Yeah that's the idea! Actually, maybe a "debate" between the two can be a gameplay mechanic even, you do that to progress the investigations at a certain point. To make a point of them discussing mysteries.

The story would follow AA's general vibe, meaning it would be a bit less dark than Umineko itself. But of course it would still involve many murders. I came up with a bunch of ideas for it (like the victim/suspect/killers through 5 cases) but of course I'm not a writer so had nowhere to go with it
