iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I am not signing up for any free trials that may cause headaches to end. I guess it will be a radio broadcast night. I'm old. I can manage.

FALSE IN WISCONSIN. WI Statutes sec. 7.37(4): "2 inspectors shall be assigned to take charge of the official ballots. They shall write their initials on the back of each ballot and deliver to each elector as he or she enters the voting booth one ballot properly endorsed by each of them."

NOT accurate, at least in WI. In WI, two poll workers (who technically are called election inspectors) must initial the ballot to make it live and valid.

Ellen Henak @ehenak.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

False in WI! In WI, the ballot is not valid unless two poll workers initial it. Signed, a WI poll worker

Look I’ve dealt with Furbies, including one that suddenly came back to “life” years later. They are demons. Do demons have souls?

Republicans don't actually want Milwaukee to succeed. They want to deprive it of resources, deprive it of funding, and then point their fingers and blame the city for the challenges they've chiefly caused. They don't want a thriving city. They want a political punching bag.

Like half the Tiffany ads are "local taxes in Milwaukee County went up while Crowley was exec" and yes, that was the grand bargain with the GOP-controlled state legislature to put MKE city and county on firmer financial footing

Another entry in the category “Jews are not all alike and Jewish belief is not a monolith.”

Ellen Henak @ehenak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

It’s a deeply held Satmar religious belief that it is wrong to establish a Jewish state politically or militarily and it must await the coming of the messiah.

My grandson worked most of the summer as a junior counselor. His mother and aunt had worked at the same camp years ago. Ack!

give you a regular ballot and let you vote.

Ellen Henak @ehenak.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

It varies state by state. In Wisconsin, if you are in the wrong polling place, we will tell you where to go to vote. If you are in the right polling place and meet the registration requirements (including the right documents), we will register you right at the polls and then

I think 20 yo me would first be bewildered. We could only get to an answer after I explained that life is the side trip that happens while you are planning other things. And I suspect the answer would be some of both
