Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Having played Ranger Rumble for a few hours, my initial gripes aren’t too bad actually! The touchscreen controls and character loadouts are good as the gameplay is mostly focused on dodging and abilities rather than aiming and weapon swapping. For a mobile game, it’s bloody good! 000
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 18/08/2026The game is fun to play, but it could be so much better without all those little irks and pandering to casuals. Hell, it has the potential to be more fun than R&C 3 multiplayer if only they’d take off the training wheels and give us the full arsenal and a PS5 port! 100
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Woke up today to find Ratchet and Clank Ranger Rumble is now available in the UK! First impressions are massively mixed. Combat 👍 Touchscreen controls 👎 Characters 👍 Custom weapon loadouts are gone now, weapons are tied to characters 👎 Performance 👍 Occasional crashes 👎 Battle pass 👎 100
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 04/08/2026If you take a principled stance on something and clash with a cynic, their perspective becomes “I don’t care, you should stop caring despite the issue being important to you because you’re annoying me” 000
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 04/08/2026“Look at these sheep getting behind a cause! It’ll never work, they don’t authentically care and if they do they’re naive and I disagree with them because while the status quo sucks and made me this way, I’m comfortable with it and don’t like being lectured. Caring is cringe” 100
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 04/08/2026I think about cynicism a lot. It’s the strongly held belief that there are no true believers. Unlike people who are naive to the bad of humanity, cynics are naive to the good of humanity. 100

Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Now I’m decent at drawing backgrounds I should design some of the planets for Astro Corps. Had some cool ideas in my head for years and I might just be able to pull them off now! 000
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Then there’s the Astro Corps stuff; All worldbuilding, no strong character dynamics Roxy and “The Champion” are rivals, IDK why. Sometimes Orbitelle shows up, but she’s the protagonist of her own story and is deus ex machina level OP. Evelyn is being phased out entirely for art direction reasons. 110
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 20/07/2026I know exactly what their character dynamic is and I could jump back into writing them at any time, but the worldbuilding and tone is all over the place. I don’t have it in me to have Bubblebun kill a villain in front of Arthur, but the drama demands it! That’s why Bubblebun is in development hell 110
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Bubblebun, Felicia, Gummy Bea, Arthur (cat kid) and Wilfred Bradbury are some of my most fun characters but I could never decide on the tone of the world they live in. It was either “lighthearted sitcom shenanigans with superpowers” or “10 year old kid sees some serious shit and gets traumatised” 100
Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Looking back at old OCs for potential ArtFight roster additions, and the Bubblebun cast had mad potential before I got indecisive and bored and decided to design demons and aliens 100

Elliot @efwillustrations.bsky.social · 29/05/2026You may have noticed the absolute tsunami of left-wing political reels I’ve been sharing on insta and been wondering what’s up with that: Let’s not beat around the bush, I’m a massive lefty these days, but I’ve always been afraid of confrontation. 110
