cost. It would add $1600 in payroll every year just for wick trimming injury. the repetitive motion puts an employee at risk for carpal tunnel retail. candles would all look different cost again. Custom wick sizes are 3x the cost of "standard" wicks

Wicks come in different widths/lengths, but the reason*we* don't trim them is: manufacturing. We need to be able to hand place the wicks without dipping our fingers in the wax. It's extremely difficult to place them with gloves on. The extra .3" is enough to protect our skin Other factors...
