What I most remember of watching "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" (dir. Colin Higgins, 1982) on TV, when I was a child —it had to happen between 1987 and 1990—, was Burt Reynolds wearing boxers and the sexy undies that Mona —the character played by Dolly Parton— gave him youtu.be/VdjTqK-iNfg.

People won’t remember: - the college you graduated from - the career you had - the family you raised People will remember: - if you were a bitch - if you were a lover - if you were a child - if you were a mother - if you were a sinner - if you were a saint - if you were nothing in between.

the other side of this is that if you are still getting similar engagement on twitter - given the explicit ideological algorithm manipulation pushed by the platform’s owner - you should take a good hard look at why that might be happening

"To put it bluntly, an X post today receives less than 3% of the views a single tweet delivered seven years ago." If you think it is necessary to be on Twitter to communicate your fact-based worldview, the reality is that worldview is being smothered.
