And this was this Halloween. A target and a tiny tree. And personally, I will never be tired of meme-ing the tree.

Halloween 2023, making use of the Home Depot skeletons. Unfortunately, one skeleton did lose an arm that year, so this tableau wasn’t up as long as I’d have liked. They did put the real tree back up in late November.

This appeared shortly after. The brewery downtown held a Christmas tree memorial dinner. The city events Facebook page threw shade at the conservative town next door, implying the driver was “pretty good for being from Petal.”

Would you like to hear a story about a Christmas tree, a bad driver, and a city with a great sense of humor? We built a roundabout in the weird five way intersection by the library in 2022, and put a Christmas tree in it in December. This happened.
