Asked about new guidance on single sex spaces, Andy Burnham said: "I think the time has come to take the Supreme Court ruling and the guidance and implement it, but to do it in a way that protects those spaces but does not marginalise already marginalised communities, that's my view.
"My mum and dad brought me up to live and let live. I think Britain needs to get back to a more live and let live' approach to life, not where we're constantly arguing with each other, being judgmental about each other.
"Lets implement the guidance, but to do it in the fairest and most compassionate way possible."
He said he thought Britain had done too much of rerunning arguments. "We've got to stop arguing with each other. We've got to start by finding some common ground and start pulling together," he added.

Something that I haven't seen mentioned so far is that single sex associations (women's institute, girl guides etc) definitely appear to be allowed to be trans inclusive. Simply set up as for women and trans people (you have to admit trans men under "women" and are allowed to admit trans women)

12.75 This interpretation of the Act is consistent with the right to freedom of association under Article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Article 11 includes the right (subject to proportionate restrictions) for people to be able to associate with one another to the exclusion of others in appropriate circumstances. An association may therefore restrict membership to people who:
share one protected characteristic (for example women)
share more than one protected characteristic (for example Muslim women) have any of more than one protected characteristic (for example lesbian, gay. bisexualor trans people)

A lot of places Reform has done well in in the North West, they didn't run last time round and there was no right wing alternative to the Tories to bash the government and people who wanted to bash the government could vote Labour. In the GE, Reform stood and did ok without winning seats...
