I had a great time on my first trip to Easter Craiglockhart Hill Nature Reserve. Sightings I saw today were Mute Swan Buzzard Mallard Coot Moorhen Feral Pigeon Little Grebe Black Headed Gull Woodpigeon Kestrel Magpie Hooded Crow Crow Robin

I enjoyed my day out at Musselburgh on Monday. Tomorrow I’ll be out Birding again at The Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. This was my first local patch and it was there were I started my Birding with my first notebook. I’ll return there next year for my 25th anniversary.

Spotted a Cormorant down at the end of The River Esk. Had a good start Birding my sightings at the Esk were Canada Goose Greylag Goose Common Gull Feral Pigeon Jackdaw Mallard Mute Swan Herring Gull Grey Wagtail Crow Oystercatcher Cormorant Curlew Pied Wagtail.

It’s amazing what happens if you stand perfectly still and the birds will come to you. I’ve seen Robin, Great Tit & Nuthatch. You can see the Nuthatch in the middle of the tree.
