Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 4hOk so I've finished side 4. First impression is it sounds better than the CD - there's more music & less murk. Somehow sounds more 'Stones' I'm partial to their 70's cod US country, & will play this some more. Not enough memorable songs. Still a great singles band easily 6/10 010
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 6hHave a good trip. It's a fascinating place. Hope you like crowds though 😁 110
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 8hI always found the CD very sludgy & messy... The sound of this LP is much brighter & more of a sense of a band playing in roughly the same time.. The songs on the first LP are better than I remember - Tumbling Dice doesn't tower above the rest so much.. 120
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 9hTime to face my fears and listen to an early vinyl copy of the acclaimed Stones album that really disappointed me when I had a CD copy.. #NowPlaying 690
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11hI bet he's got more... You didn't take a punt on the bags of mystery 7's then? 120
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 12h#ArtistFaveNonAlbumSingles Day 11 (still a bit late) The Specials - Gangsters Since Ghost Town has been posted a few times & @wrongtom.bsky.social posted the TOTP album version of this earlier youtu.be/lgCZN1rU5co?... 0190
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 12h#ArtistFaveNonAlbumSingles Day 10 (a bit late) Orange Juice - Simply Thrilled Honey Not even on the Postcard LP that got canned.. An all time favourite - always a thrill youtu.be/uGB9kIVvPW4?... 0150
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 15hGreat pick - I was disappointed not to find this on the LP when I bought it 110
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 16h"a trade dispute" 😂 An interesting way to describe industrial scale rule breaking in a sports league that is of huge importance to millions of people in the UK and many more across the world 100
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 16hThere are no "tribes" here. Just one state owned club that broke the rules in a massive and deliberate way, then resorted to obstruction and threats when that was exposed. 100
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 17hFwiw my insurer (Churchill) confirmed that I would only need to declare any single item worth more than £2k. I don't have any of those 😂 I think the total contents insured is enough to cover all our stuff + discogs median value. 000
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 17hThat's rather nice. Reminded me that I need a new copy of the Brass Fantasy album that got damaged in my house move 010
Reposted by Ed Hodgsonwrongtom @wrongtom.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Avant garde trumpeter Lester Bowie would’ve turned 85 today. I’ve been pretty obsessed with Bowie and the AEOC since catching them live in the early 90s. I made this edit of Bowie & Amina Myers’ God Has Smiled On Me when I supported Sun Ra Arkestra many years ago soundcloud.com/wrongtom/les...soundcloud.comLester Bowie - God Has Smiled On Me (Wrongtom Edit)An edit made especially for a recent gig supporting Sun Ra Arkestra which I decided was too nice to keep to myself. Nothing complicated to see here, i mainly edited out about 10 minutes worth of frene 2175
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 17hI'm disappointed Len... You forgot to mention the evil red cartel who obviously forged all the so called "evidence" as it was the only way to beat the saintly Sheikh Mansour 100

Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026That's not ideal then Better get onto it sharpish Drew.. (I'm also just going to double check the total insured amount on ours... 😬) 110
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026What would really distort the league is United & Liverpool cutting their own TV rights deals The 'before' situation didn't arise overnight though.. years & years of success, big gates, huge fanbases & commercial operations This 'cartel' hasn't been very effective in keeping other teams out though 000
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026That's a very good point about total insured value Mairi It's a bit surprising to me that several of my mutuals on here have lost record collections in fires. More common than i thought 130
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026They have already changed the rules on leveraged finance deals. Too late for United though 🙁 100
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Marcus Garvey is a fine LP I need to find more decent record shops in that area... Psychotron is terrific though. 260
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026My current insurer doesn't seem to be bothered. I have it all on discogs as a record though But I think you have a lot more than me.. 120
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Might have to hang around for 14 or 15 years to get that one 😁 220
Ed Hodgson @edhodgson.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I thought it was the one to go to.. Thanks for the tip I didn't know about the synth fest - will check it out www.synthfest.co.uk/aboutsynthfest.co.ukAbout | Synthfest 010
