fur affinity has been running for 21 years, is one of the largest archives of queer art online, and one of the few art sites that has not switched to some kind of infinite feed bullshit and it's being strangled over "adult" art. suspiciously wealthy furries now is your time to paypig for culture

What makes this situation frustrating is that the bar for what advertisers consider “adult content” is very very low. For example they consider plus size characters, two characters hugging, and “barbie doll nudity” to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. This is why you may see other sites with restrictions on how characters can’t be posed or dressed “too provocatively.”

We receive a daily list of items that they have flagged as violations and have to sort through them. If they’re legitimate violations, we re-rate them. If they aren’t, we don’t touch them. Submissions that are not violations of our policies are still held against us.

We have had many email conversations, Zoom calls, and even an in-person meeting with representatives to help resolve this to no avail.

Still on my bs, this time a tau mech, fallen in mud and frosted over, but valuable data lies in its systems and thats why its a custom objective marker for killteam!

Damaged mech half sunk into mud, a rock lies on its lower chest, and frost has formed on the ground and its metal plates. A larger circle surrounds the main peice to indicate the peice as an objective marker

I think something a lot of (professional) artists need to remember is that with the slightest bit of friction on the way to purchasing something you've lost like 30% of your audience, at least. People want things to be easy. Make it easy to find examples, prices, contact info, will/won't draw.
