Attention Alphabetters! Mon 13 Apr is the start of Week O and the theme for the #AlphabetChallenge is Old. Old people, old buildings, old cars, old clothes - you get the gist! Basically anything old if you haven’t already grasped that yet 😂 Use the # below and have fun😊

This week's #AlphabetTechPhoto is Reflections! Look for mirrors and surfaces for the #AlphabetChallenge prompt: #WeekOforOld Think weathered mirrors, puddles by historic ruins, the reflection of an antique in a window. Let's see how the past reflects in the present #AlphabetChallenge #WeekOforOld

I now have a new website where you can order signed prints and the Outsiders book direct rather than by emailing me. I will be adding the new Rebellion zine when it is back from the printer. marcdavenant.com

Ljuset reflekteras i bilarnas rutor.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekNforNonsense - on the wall of the Marlborough in Dedham. Perhaps they were miffed that he went to the Sun Inn instead😀

Anyone else finding that this app occasionally ‘squashes’ some pics?

Please read this, understand what the govt is doing & take action. Labour's immigration proposals swap integration for segregation, introduce a Dubai-style Kafala system of coercive employer control & drive low-income families into poverty. They're an abomination. open.substack.com/pub/wewanted...

Am not an energy analyst but why does seem every interview with a U.K. minister this week included a pointed question about why not drilling more in North Sea and almost none about renewables/net zero as an energy security imperative? It’s bizarre, frankly

"Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. ... You get it? We both have layers". Shrek - 2001 #AlphabetChallenge #WeekLforLayers #AlphabetTechPhoto Patterns/Symmetry See Alt

25 Frames later...never thought I'd be setting up a makeshift studio for an onion shoot but here we are.

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L lens

1/200sec @f11 ISO1250 Focal Length 400mm

Tried a variety of f-stops starting at the high end and working down towards a wider aperture. Also started with a lower ISO but shutter speed became a problem due to camera shake from the heavy lens. So, adjusted ISO and f-stop to increase shutter speed (I predominately shoot in Aperture Dependent mode). Using the telephoto lens allowed me to be a distance (approximately 10 feet in this case) from the subject and still narrow in on the subject with decent focus and clarity.

Am on BBC Radio 5 Live shortly talking about political donations and foreign interference in British politics. Wrote about some of this in light of Rycroft Review this week: democracyforsale.substack.com/p/has-labour...
