I read the referenced Doctorow post and find it consistent with my understanding of the incident. By way of establishing credentials, I work on GitHub Copilot SDK at Microsoft. Credential proof: github.blog/engineering/... Conclusion: your wrongsplain description is unearned.

If you tried out GitHub Copilot SDK for Java github.blog/engineering/... , note that I just updated the sample app to use the new and experimental support for embedded Copilot CLI runtime. Works on `win32-x64`, `darwin-arm64` and `linux-x64`.
