YIGAC [¹] that you could put a geo: URI [²] in a QR code and, on scanning, a phone will likely show you that in the map app. So why not put them on parcel labels for the courier? [¹] Yesterday I guessed and confirmed. [²] Why aren't geo: URIs considered to […] [Original post on functional.cafe]

Bunnies!
Two rabbits on a lawn.

Small one on the left facing left eating grass. Larger one on the right facing right and standing up to look around. Low moss-covered stone wall and road behind them.

I think mummy's spotted me - or at least become suspicious of movement in the window.

Don't you love people who are “patriotic” enough to fly their country's flag but not enough to get it the right way up?
Somewhat tattered Union Jack flying from a white pole sticking up from behind a hedge with the roof of a house behind and blue but cloudy sky behind.

The thicker white stripe on the diagonals next to the pole are on the bottom. They should be on the top.

Traditionally flying the Union Jack upside down like this supposed to be a discrete way of signalling distress as no foreigner will notice but British people will. Unfortunately, in a culture where nobody gives a shit about getting anything right, that's unlikely to work.

Getting this error as I scroll back down my timeline towards where I last read. Firefox 132.0.2. Pressing “Report issue” takes me to github. I deleted my account there a while ago. @mdallastella

Met this little critter alone in a pen earlier this afternoon. Must be an orphan or its mother's not producing enough milk for it or something. Really hoping for some milk, I think, but after a moment's hesitation accepted that a scritch behind the ears was acceptable in the mean time.
Quite young brown calf with a white face behind a metal barred gate. It's stretching its neck up in the hope that a hand with a bottle of milk will appear soon.

It's been a gorgeous day today up this end of the island. Here's Lybster harbour this afternoon:
A small fishing harbour in an inlet from the sea with steep banks on each side covered with misc scrub vegetation. The harbour has concrete walls with an outer harbour open to the sea, with small lighthouse at its outer entrance and a smaller inner harbour open to the outer one from the landward side. There are two small fishing boats in the harbour with another plus various vans and cars on the hard.

The sunlight is bright and the sky is clear with just a few high clouds.

Eclipse now over. Also it's raining now. When I got up and opened the curtains it was quite bright but the light level in my bedroom has dropped quite significantly since then. It did dip a bit during the eclipse times and ramp back up as the Earth moved away but that might just be coincidence.
Graph of bedroom light level from 07:30 to 12:15. It starts low, jumps up to 90 (arbitrary units) just before 08:00 when I got up then unevenly drops till about 10:00 when it steadily dips till 11:30 after which it recovers slightly.
