You're absolutely right! You have to press it against the paper so hard, making it impossible to write long paragraphs. That's why I hated it, but it comes in handy for quick notes, like on the train. Ofc it's not as smooth as a fountain pen. I'm starting to think rollers or gel pens are superior :D

I’ve been using fountain pens every day, but I recently started using a ballpoint pen and I understand why people were so mindblown when it first came out. It dries instantly, you don’t have to constantly refill it. It’s wild that I’m having the exact same reaction people probably had in the 1940s.

I was reading "Huzur" (A mind at peace) alongside Malazan and thought it balances Malazan's depressiveness. It did that for the first half, then it turned out it wasn't very peaceful at all and actually pretty peaceless. And now I'm a peaceless person trapped in between two peaceless books.

not-so-great-library diaries #3: the library now has a database browser system, which is great. the problem is that only the librarian can use it, so I'd rather scan the shelves with my eyes then give someone a list of 40 books from my to-read list and ask them to look them up for me ONE BY ONE.
