Been super busy, picking up another big project (now three more as of 5 minutes ago!) I’ve been a bit MIA here, but I’ll pick up the slack as soon as I get back home. I have a ton of captures to process from as far back as March from NYC, and I need to pick up the pace.

It’s like watching a modern day adaption of “Lord of the Flies.” And we all lost our glasses.

Mickey’s in Cognitive Decline @mickeybiz.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

Today’s thread will be Mickey is a Little Weirdo! I will be back when i’m on the computer. Have to start it off with the chameleon goggles, tho.

Mickey is trying on a gift for their son as they wrap christmas presents one year. They are wearing large plastic chameleon eye goggles whose large bulbous eyes can move around individually. They are making a total derp face trying to look like a chameleon.

I was excited to get a chance to capture a moment when Senator @ossoff.bsky.social saw an old high school friend of his in the crowd! He also shook hands with my daughter, but I was too slow with the camera for that moment. lol. I’m proud to have him as my Senator.

I haven’t had a chance to get home to process the captures from today’s wandering with family at the art festival, but I had to share this one straight out of the camera. Atlanta | 2025 #eastcoastkin #PhotographersUnited #streetlhotography #bnw #monochrome #atlanta

Thanks! We released a new grip for the Sigma BF, and I think it’s our nicest yet; however, we have no idea if it’ll gain any traction.

Oooh, thanks! Actually my bonsai seems to have a real desire to live in spite of myself. It greened up and survived the winter! I’ll take a pic later when I get home.

Some observations about the Sigma BF with their 90mm f/2.8. This camera is built like a tank, and is made to an incredible level of detail and quality. On par with Leica in terms of build. The 90mm lens is absolutely sublime. A must lens with this camera. The UX is neat but different. AMA.

I’m glad you did. It can be painful to be in the closet about it. You’re very correct about the stigma; however, I can respect anyone’s opinion that’s grounded in at least a modicum of research, but undeserved condescension based on lemming behavior is aggravating.

Exciting times for me this week! Tomorrow I sign for the Sigma BF loaner that is shipping with their 50mm f/2 and 90mm f/2.8 I series in silver to put through its paces! The prototype grip also arrives, so I get to test out the entire thing all at once this weekend, and see if we go with it!

Chasten and I are relieved that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe. While we wait to learn more, this much is clear: the targeting of a public official and his family - especially a prominent Jewish official on a major Jewish holiday - is unconscionable and has no place in our country.
