I'll recap it: ceremony @ 8:30am - but no guests because their permit is only for 6, so carpool to meet in the tiny parking lot at Red Rock for drinks; break til 6p for cake in 1 place, followed by drinks in another, then to nightclub. Were they trying to save $ skipping feeding guests dinner?

Or it could be a “buffalo hump” aka dorsocervical fat pad hypertrophy. From too much cortisol (Cushing’s).

"Why the CDC edited a key Covid metric, and what it says about the state of the virus" The CDC raised its COVID wastewater benchmarks, so levels once considered “high” may now be labelled “moderate.” The agency says the change is intended to better reflect the current risk of COVID transmission.🤦‍♂️
A screenshot of an article preview from NBC News featuring a United States map tracking "Covid viral levels."
The map color-codes states to show differing ranges of viral activity, using shades of orange (with Texas, California, Florida, and Washington showing deeper orange hues), light peach for lower levels, grey for unavailable data, and diagonal grey stripes over several states.
At the bottom, a dark grey text overlay reads: "Why the CDC edited a key Covid metric, and what it says about the state of the virus." Small grey attribution text below the main card indicates the source is from nbcnews.com.

Raccoons have an affinity for aluminum. Had a Mac laptop that the keys got turned into a snack pack when I mistakenly left it open & accessible to the little bandits. Long ago I learned my lesson there, back when we did wildlife rehab & had a resident 🦝 I still love the little trash pandas!

Wow. Disgusting. I am also not shocked. I gave up watching pro & college football long ago (2007) because I got tired of the misogyny, rape culture & sexism. I was a savant when it came to calling the fouls, too. But it gets old when the only females shown are scantily clad cheer squads.

PMC COVlD Update, Week of Sep 7, 2026 ◾️33 states/territories with outbreaks (see Alt) ◾️Highest levels nationally since March 5th ◾️1 in 86 Americans estimated actively infectious ◾️Peak expected soon, but some caveats THREAD (1/5) 🧵 pmc19.com
The US has at least 33 states/territories with COVlD outbreaks. These include Alaska, Hawai’i, Guam, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

There are likely outbreaks in additional states. The summary statistic of 33 only includes counties with observed data, rather than estimated data. For example, South Carolina and Oklahoma likely have outbreaks, but monitoring is poor.

If you buy a head that still has the root ball like butter crunch, just set the base in a shallow dish of water. Add water as needed, clip leaves & watch it re-sprout. Works on celery too.

Earth’s oceans just broke a heat record. The implications will be massive
Human-caused global warming and a strong El Niño are adding excess heat to the oceans, threatening marine life and providing storms with more energy and moisture.
