Amazon Big Deals Days has been undercut by their own Alexa Price History functionality (apparently recently updated from only 3 Months back to a full year). It's now obvious to see if a "Big Deal" of 38% off is actually just their normal sale price.

7 overturned pitches. This umpire is having a terrible game today. He must be from Milwaukee.

Happy Independence Day to those of you celebrating today! I hope y'all didn't celebrate too hard last night and you're feeling okay this morning. 😂

I came up with the idea of 2GG typal about a year ago and this will I bought the lady of the cards for it. I have named it TwoGG. Everying in the deck is either a mana rock, it cost 2GG. (or a Boompile, because even meme decks should play a sweeper). I should get to play it this weekend or at FNM!

@pleasantkenobi.bsky.social How do you think 30th Anniversary boosters would go over now? We've had 4 years of acclimating to collectibility and $80 UB collector boosters. I think the reaction would be kind of meh.

Here's a question I had never considered. If the biggest benefit of quantum computers is solving certain classes of intractable problems, how do you verify the answer it gives you is correct?

@pleasantkenobi.bsky.social If you do more videos on the ass Star Trek art, take a look back at the much-maligned Doctor Who art to gain an appreciation for what the artists managed to do with a set of real life humans. Freaking Graham O'Brien is more interesting than half the Star Trek gallery.

I appreciate the commentators want to give credit to the goal scorers and all, but the 3rd Argentina goal was a lucky deflection. It was not a "great header" as the keeper was well positioned to make a save on a clean header. The official scorers later rightfully changed it to an own goal.

I feel the timidity of the referees to award yellow cards in the elimination round is a factor on how close the games are staying. It's a lot easier for a lower skilled team to keep a game close if they get to always pull down players without any fear of being sent off. Ugly, albeit close, games.

There is a severe adderral shortage in Chicagoland (again). I had to call 5 pharmacies to find one that has it in stock. How many people have an hour to call pharmacies, let alone someone with ADHD that has trouble focusing on anything that long? That's why I need the medication!

Fox Sports 1 seems to have changed from "Hydration Break" to "Match Break" and I appreciate the move toward honesty. By the end, maybe we can get to the full "Commercial Break."

The party will surely do the best they can to keep Trump locked away for the month before the midterms (his approval ratings always get better the less he's in the news). Please, please raise interest rates in October so Trump goes completely unhinged and orders the entire Fed board be arrested.

Google's new usage limits has torpedoed the entire idea of consumer AI over the next 2-4 years. There is a nonzero chance that in the future, we look back at this week as the beginning of AI bubble bursting.

I've always felt sympathetic to anyone that has to be on social media for their jobs. Now I have to deal with GenAI all the time and I wonder if other people view me with sympathy for needing to follow every new development and drama. Can you imagine the people in social media AND GenAI?

EcoKady @ecokady.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

Text-based GenAI is here to stay. It's far closer to internet search engines than it is to Virtual Reality. Now, I dunno if ChatGPT and Gemini are going to be AskJeeves or Google, but it'll be part of our lives going forward. Learning to know when to use it will be an important skill (eventually).

@wotcmatt.bsky.social My favorite obscure Magic rule is when Attractions leave play, they are moved to the command zone. I love the image of Myra the Magnificent and the commanders riding Bumper Cars and Ferris Wheels while waiting to be summoned to the battlefield.

Apparently there’s a new option on this app to “go live.” I don’t know if that means “start streaming” or “close the app and experience other, more important facets of life.” Too afraid to find out for sure.

You know those days when you can't get to sleep, then your dog wakes you up at 5:30 am, then you look at your work and personal calendar and you have nothing to look forward to other than going to sleep at 9 pm that night? I hate those days.

RIP Kai. He started his run of dominance as I started really getting into the game. The Kai vs Finkel debate has been joined by a handful of others over the years, but I will always think of Budde as the best pro to ever play the game. Remembering Kai Budde share.google/xZowwU5ELoes...

@sbmtg.bsky.social Hey Dev. I never tried Hades (no time in my life at the time). I got Hades 2 recently on sale. I've died on the second boss a few times and I kind of just... Don't get it? Is there assumed knowledge from the first game? Do I just need to give it a few more hours?

Overthrowing foreign governments for access to oil is the kind of outdated thinking I've come to expect from this administration. Everyone knows we should be overthrowing foreign governments for access to lithium.

@vorthosmike.bsky.social have you investigated the Fleem art by Nicholas Gregory? Common theories for Through the Omenpaths was unused art. Dollars tend not to follow memes in the Magic community, so I don't think he should necessarily be making art prints, but I feel like a few playmats might sell.

I built my PC last year at this time when RAM prices had come down. Recently, I'd heard there was a RAM shortage and come to find out my $70 of DDR5 RAM last year would cost close to $300. How in the world is a market that messed up?

And we see end of American Democracy. Not a great event. Just a wet fart late on a Sunday night. A cowardly vote taken when constituents wouldn't have a chance to flood Senate offices with angry calls and emails before a vote was taken. I hope whatever personal favors they've earned were worth it.

Fast wireless charging is still slow. I'm appreciating it when charging my phone overnight but it's barely a convenience. What am I doing wrong? Is it supposed to be so ubiquitous in my house that whenever I set down my phone, I'm setting it down on a charger? Why is wireless charging a thing?

I built a Bracket 1 Simic ramp deck that plays no landfall and no X spells using Zimone, All-Questioning. I board wiped artifacts. I killed two things with fight spells. I removed counters from an Elenda. I was still accused by the table of being a Simic deck doing Simic things. 🤦

@sbmtg.bsky.social Hey Dev. I've been wondering about a variation on budget decks. What about a "billboard buildaround?" A 3x or 4x of a $15 card and budget around it. Like Cosmogrand Zenith in your recent UW deck. I get 60-70% trade in of tcgplayer low, so $36-42 of the $60 Cosmogrands comes back.

I feel like Roberts will be able to strong arm one other Justice to block the Federal Reserve firing. While it's impossible to get them to care about liberty or humanity, but I think the obvious threat to the economy may be a step too far. (there is precedent for presidents controlling tariffs)

One moment I really enjoy in a commander game is when I play my first spell if the turn and announce "Storm Count at 1" in a deck that has not given any indication up to that point that it is playing any Storm cards. The doubletakes and inevitable "uh oh" is just so much fun.
