I towed my new daily driver EV from TX to NC with a 110k-mile, 7yr old, 204 miles of rated unloaded range when new Audi EV over 4th of July 2026. Rapid Charging hasn't been an issue for 5 years. All but two stops <22m long.

I knew I'd never regret going electric, I wish others had listened to the decade of data I provided at my own expense & switched over before we got to where we are now... Data reflects a household of 5 EVs, 3 drivers, and upwards of 50k annual miles. 12€¢/kWh utility rate + 10y/o 4.3kW solar array.

It's even cheaper with solar. This reflects a 5 EV household & 4.3kW array. I will clock 20-30k across my DD (500e) and Roadtripper (EV6). My spouse puts about 3k on the DD (Smart) and 10k on our old roadtripper (120k mi audi etron). The etron is a pig, the others are very efficient on consumption.

May the charge ever be in your favor! I remember the excite of "my first trip with the EV." Over 10 years show now. Recently towed my new commuter, a 500e, from Dallas to Raleigh and was shocked at how many more charging stops were available vs 2020 when I pulled a motorcycle on the same route.

Score!! I hated these compared to my Newton but I did own several of them during the 00s. Can't wait to print a stylus for it and throw some fresh batteries in. Pretty sure I have a machine with an IR port I can use to install apps on it with.

Not feeling my best today, slight coigh and congestion from the changing seasons, so I took the day off to rest*. Rest = catch up on all the stuff I've let slip past few weeks b/c of work load + social calendar. Workout took nearly 2 hours to give an idea on pace and breaks Now, to thrift!!

I've tracked the In/Out service miles of every EV I've ever owned. Easily pushing 500,000 EV miles (sheet reflects 360k+ miles) since 2016. Whoever says electric can't go the distance is dead wrong. I'm your proof. I'll never go back to suck, squeeze, bang, blow. #DriveElectric

A spreadsheet tracking the service history and ownership mileage of several vehicles from 2016–2026. Columns include in-service date, VIN (blurred), model year, make, model, starting mileage, out-of-service date and mileage, total months, and total miles. Vehicles listed include Smart Fortwo Cabrio EDs, Zero SR and FXS motorcycles, BMW i3 REx Mega, Energica Eva 107 and EsseEsse9+, Hyundai Ioniq Electric and Kona Electric, Audi e-tron 55 quattro, Chevrolet Volt, 1991 Mazda Miata, 2023 Kia EV6, and 2015 Fiat 500e. Completed entries show ownership ranging from 5 to 54 months and several thousand to nearly 98,000 miles. Having just towed this electric fiat with my 7 year old >112k mile (at the start of trip) electric Audi, charging 10-90% took on average 22 minutes with an aged 150kW car. The Tech's already there. My kia EV6 how's 80% on under 18m consistently even on sub-200kW chargers.

I charged in Montgomery AL on my way from GA to Dallas TX, where I loaded up this electric Fiat & towed it 1,100 miles back home via 35/40 to NC. I had 1 charger run slow, in Hope AR (50m). Otherwise all stops were 12-24 minutes. My Audi is 7 years old >114k miles & climbed pikes peak in 2021.

My #CommaAI 3X was starting to have hardware issues after 3 years, 38,418 miles/3,313 drives/1,255 hours of use. It was overheating & the ghost taps increased after the screen corner cracked when I went to pull it off the mount to hard reset it (sound stopped). Now I have a Comma 4, let's go!

I've been a busy bear today getting the Fiat setup as my new daily driver. Seems good for 50 highway and 75-ish city miles. I have put over 120 miles on it today. I think it is gonna grow on me... Already have a partial roof wrap idea rattling around in my head.

I think you maybbe right, but I have a different opinion on automated routing after towing the fiat back from Texas. I wish my car had it, and, only would route to pull thru sites when it detects the trailer. Almost too many places to weed thru manually today. ABRP does OK but could be improved.
