AT&T's "5G+" with full bars (USB Tethered) They won't come upgrade the DAS micro cell radio at the office from 4G LTE to 5G so my phone is constantly struggling, bouncing between the weak local tower 5G and the 4G LTE micro cell signal that apparently uses a dialup connection to the backhaul lol

Went down the rabbit hole of Home Assistant and the Discord notification integration, and now I have ESPHome monitoring a CO2 sensor that posts in my discord when the reading is above 1000 ppm to let me know to open a window haha

Having a CO2 sensor feeding into Home Assistant has really opened my eyes to how bad the air quality is in my house, and this is just me living here alone. I've been opening windows more and it makes a huge difference, as you can see lol

My electronics work bench is an old glass top desk that I put an ESD mat on, and works great but has one downside: the sides are not lamp clamp friendly... So I designed and 3D printed plates to make it clamp friendly! It's really hard to get a perfect match for the arc, anybody have tips?

Turns out when you plug in 3 serial devices into a single Raspberry Pi things get a little... confusing. Hopefully my investigation and diagramming will help keep me from uploading the right firmware to the wrong device lol

Quick demo of the automatic plant watering system! When the sensor is pulled out of the water (simulating dry soil) the peristaltic pump kicks on and transfers water from the full cup to the "plant" (empty cup).

This raspberry pi (next to the breadboard) is working overtime. Powering 3 ESP32s3 boards (and featherwings), using a NVMe drive, and all powered off PoE via my network switch. Why would I do this? VScode remote server of course! I can be anywhere and connect to my VPN and program these boards.

How it started vs how it's going. Even got an original @adafruit.com sticker on there. I think I got the Toshiba in maybe 2008? Just got the Microsoft Surface laptop a few weeks ago (there have been a few other laptops inbetween). First laptop was a Compaq, but it was sold to fund the Toshiba lol

First time building out a fiber splice tray. Was a little concerned with the amount of VFL light that I saw on the splice but when I hooked up the power meter it was almost zero loss (which is kind of weird because I only calibrated with a single coupler and expected at least a 0.5 dB drop).
