the majority of fics (that I've seen) seem to just characterize him as a tough guy. Which like, isn't incorrect. But there is SO much more there, yk?

Like,, his entire story is about his loss of sanity (to me anyway) Like, that and whatever weird religious shit he had going on with Eden and The Butcher are kind of all the characterization we get for him and,

(and that's as far as I got)

So grace comes in, he wants to take more samples and do a thorough examination, but Simon won't let Grace touch him or get near the blood that constantly pools at his feet. This isn't going to be easy.

And Simon agrees, no one has offered to help Simon... Maybe ever? And as much as he doesn't trust it, he can't bear to let the offer pass him by. (And probably there's no one actually here to trust or not trust anyway)

Of course trying to convince him he's not hallucinating is no use (cause he *is* hallucinating most of the time tbf) So finally Grace just, asks if he can come in, maybe examine Simon and see if he can help with his pain.

He assumes at this point that most things that happen to him are hallucinations. Little rock guys from space rescue him ? Nice scientist man talks to him? Probably just another hallucination. He's not entirely convinced that he's not just dead or in some sort of afterlife (hell, probably)

He has severe poisoning of many types and all the damage done to his body remains, however none of it kills him. It does still affect him though, his arm still hurts, the poisoning still makes him sick etc.

Simon doesn't know where he is, his memory of what has happened to him since he was brought here is spotty. His memory of what happened before even more so.

After a few days, Simon starts talking, but not to Grace, instead he will sometimes respond to the voices. and then one day he does respond to Grace. It's clear (to the reader at least) that Simon thinks Grace is just another hallucination.

Grace spends all the time he's not talking to Simon doing science on samples of Simon's blood. The blood is human, but each cell is from a different body. Grace identifies over 100 separate hosts before he stops counting (he doesn't actually stop counting, he keeps careful records of all of them)

But after a few days he tries to eat more politely, except it's difficult with his mutated arm and mouth. Simon only has one arm left and his entire body is heavily mutated, his severed arm never stops bleeding.

Every day Grace offers Simon food and then talks to him for awhile while he eats it. At first Simon is feral and eats and drinks ravenously (food was precious even before he was put in the iron lung, he has probably been on rations his whole life).

Grace tries to talk to him, but isn't certain Simon can even understand him. Simon never speaks and makes little noise except distress sounds. (Rocky could get a little lesson on human emotion sounds and then Simon can also make some very inhuman sounds with his freaky Eldritch mouth, as a treat :3)

When Grace first tries to enter his enclosure Simon chases him back out, acting like he will attack him (but hesitating to actually harm him). Grace gets outta there and instead tries talking to him over the intercom.

The Eridians put him in life support designed for humans but the infection resists their attempts to extract it and they cannot heal Simon. So they bring him back to Erid in the hopes that Grace, the only other human they know, can help him.

He is feral, cannot be knocked unconscious, in constant pain, and mind broken. He hears the voices of the past Convict, Eva, and The Light (if not others, the blood ocean seems to be a hive mind of all who died there?) He also has visual hallucinations and is incapable of accurately tracking time.

Ok anyway here's the outline: The submarine is teleported through the Light/pinhole/god/eye/whatever to the new universe (graces universe) Simon is awake and alive on landing? The eridian scientists capture him/rescue him and bring him back to Erid.

Ok, made an outline for a bloodymary fic which I know I will never write. But I have opinions on Simon's characterization. He needs to be more insane guys. You knooowww this man is seeing shit and talking to voices blood ocean or no. Plsssss make him Mad. I need it. #bloodymary
