We said goodbye to Fluffball this week. He went peacefully in his sleep. The cancer took him less than 3 weeks after we learned nothing else could be done. Rest well, my guy. Thanks for being with us 💜

Looking at this card brings me so much misery 😂 Why is she on reverse? Why can both effects be nullified with a blinker? Why can the actual plus be countered with bombs? And if she's meant to make you cancel, why is it impossible for her to grab herself to loop combo if you stay at level 1?

The mustangs from @lottaunicorns.bsky.social came in today! 🐴 The mini foal pin is SOOOO mini, it's unbearably cute 🥺 I absolutely love these so much! Meanwhile Lumi is very unsure about the new metal friends 😂

I actually ran out of dowels at the end, so the back right segment is still missing 3 walls. Until I get more, I guess I'll just take it out and leave that space without a substrate. Tomorrow it's time to attach the legs and cover wall gaps. This is how the segments look like when taken out btw:

One of the platform segments is lifted up from its place on the platform, so that the wooden dowel-lined walls are visible all around.

After using every available (and I use that term loosely) dowel in the house, this is where I got to today. The left side has nothing on top because that's where the wheel goes, directly on the platform. The other 5 segments are all separate and removable, stacked on top of the platform.

The circle and wavy lines from the previous picture are now lined with wooden dowels.

So ... I ran out of dowels in the process 😆 But the nice thing about water-soluble glue is that I can (at least somewhat) take old projects apart and reuse them. Truly the legos of the DIY world lol.

And the sides are done! Tomorrow, I will work on the individual segments on top, and on Friday I'll figure out the attachment points for the legs it will stand on.

The platform sides are now all covered in two layers of rainbow pastel popsicle sticks.

Took a break for two days to let my arm rest (turns out cutting popsicle sticks with a rotary cutter is not for people with noodle arms!), but now we progress. I wanna finish both layers on the back two sides and I'm about 2/6th of the way there

The rainbow popsicle sticks have now been added to the long back side of the platform too.

Now the fun part begins ... and it includes cutting about 550 popsicle sticks by hand.

Pastel rainbow colored popsicle sticks glued to the side of the base wall in random order. The bottom ends of the sticks have been cut off to make them flush with the wall.

I cut out the curve I wanted and added a 3mm wood layer on top. Now this glue lasagna needs to dry overnight! Tomorrow we're fixing up the edges, sanding and attaching the base cardboard wall around the whole thing

I installed a hanging board in the closet to hold @andpierres.bsky.social's backpacks in their natural orientation 🦇 Conveniently, all my @anxietyfox.com pocket friends also fit up there 💜

A modified closet shelf with a hook board drilled into the bottom side of the top shelf, from which a purple bat-shaped backpack and four small fox plushies in black, orange, brown and purple color are hung. The rest of the shelf holds more bags and the closet walls are lined with several pin display boards on the inside.
