@jdnott.bsky.social and I just looked up in simultaneous recognition of the barely perceptible sounds of Reel Big Fish coming from outside..

“the problem turned out to be not that heritability was imaginary, but rather that it was misinterpreted as supporting a hereditarian model of human behavioral differences, when in fact it does not”

A British pensioner whose bland sandwiches gained him unexpected fame in China has died. Keith Brown, a retired engineer known on Chinese social media as
"Old Dry Keith", became a hit when his Chinese wife Zhang Jian began to post videos of him assembling the ham and cheese sandwiches he liked to eat. Chinese observers were grimly fascinated by his dry, boring sandwiches, and his gentle, stoic manner - and he built up a cult following. "We go from questioning the dry old man, to understanding the dry old man, to becoming the dry old man," observed one cultural commentator.
"The old man is us, and his dry lunch is our dry life."

I know I am missing tons of folks (since I've been adding new soc folks from other starter packs), but I hadn't seen a med soc/soc of health starter pack yet. Comment if you'd like to be added! HT to @jenjamesphd.bsky.social for teaching me about starter packs. #medsoc go.bsky.app/AynCrtw
