If you don't want your child in the Trump accounts I highly suggest calling your state representatives, as well as US representatives. I also have worries about Trump accounts kicking families off Medicaid and SNAP since parents won't have full control of the account, and can't exit it themselves.

I really recommend people move away from the big G with all the changes to their services. These folks have put together a really comprehensive list, so I'm sharing theirs instead of making a new one. The website is more up to date. We can absolutely learn to move around what's happening.

Colorado Democratic Party votes to formally condemn and censure Polis! Colorado Dems have made me feel more comfortable with the Democratic Party than the DNC has. Accountability is good, and I believe it's important in this moment to hold people accountable. I'm glad this step was taken.

So the World Economic Forum (Founded around the same time as the Heritage Foundation btw) has been working on corporate capture of democratic institutions and countries, while the effort is also happening here in the US. I'm still a huge proponent of voting, but it's true we won't vote our way out

Research is finding more evidence of links between environmental PFAS exposure and pediatric cancers, particularly Acute Leukemias. There's also been evidence of clusters of leukemia among children of service members due to high levels of PFAS on military installations and war zone exposure.
The Trump administration has repealed drinking water limits for four different PFAS forever chemicals.

Possible links between PFAS exposure and childhood cancers
Results underscore value of continued monitoring for drinking water contamination

FULL STORY
A study led by the Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health at the Univer-A study led by the Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health at the University of California, Irvine has revealed possible links between exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in drinking water and an increased risk of certain childhood cancers.
Widely used in industrial and consumer products, PFAS -- commonly known as "forever chemicals" due to their persistence in the environment -- have been linked to various adverse health effects. An Environmental Protection Agency monitoring program documented detectable levels of PFAS in California drinking water between 2013 and 2015.
In an online study in the journal Environmental Epi-demiology, the researchers investigated the role that PFAS exposure via drinking water contamination may play in childhood cancer risk.
"Our findings indicate suggestive associations between predicted prenatal PFAS exposure and certain childhood cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia and Wilms tumors," said corresponding author Natalie Binczewski, a UC Irvine Ph.D. candidate in environmental health sciences.
Researchers analyzed data from 10,220 children up to age 15 diagnosed with cancer between 2000 and 2015, along with 29,974 healthy children.
They estimated maternal PFAS levels by linking
geocoded addresses at birth to local water district contamination data and determined that higher concentrations of two PFAS -- perfluorooctanesul-fonic acid and perfluorooctanoic acid -- were associated with certain childhood cancers.
"While these results do not confirm that PFAS exposure directly causes childhood cancers, they add to a growing body of evidence highlighting potential health risks," Binczewski said. "Further studies are needed to confirm and better understand these associations, but this research underscores the importance of clean drinking water and continued regulatory efforts to protect public health."
Other team members included Veronica Vieira, UC
Irvine professor and chair of environmental & occupational health; Libby M. Morimoto, associate project scientist, and Catherine Metayer, adjunct professor, both from the Division of Epidemiology in UC Berkeley's School of Public Health; Xiaomei Ma, professor and interim chair of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health; and Joseph L.
Wiemels, professor of population and public health sciences at USC's Keck School of Medi-cine.
This work was supported by grant R01 ES032196 from the National Institutes of Health.

Happy Nurses Week to all the nurses!
It's Nurses Week! Shout out to all the nurses who are not only doing day to day work but are also online trying to help others.
It was the nurses who helped keep me sane while my daughter was inpatient for most of a year for cancer treatment. They helped keep her alive, and helped to advocate for us when things were going horribly. It was nurses who kept showing up as clinical supervisors, care coordinators and PDNs when we got her home.
Special thanks to my bestie who had to work things out with her DNP program when she dropped everything to come help me when I needed her the most.
I wish you all the raises you deserve

A4: This probably goes back to Q3 for me. I think we need to do a better job of respecting older teens especially if they've been at it for 3 or 4+ years, and looping them in more. Also, listen to parents and patients more-just because they have questions or ask about other solutions doesn't mean
