Artists are allowed to make fucked up upsetting art. You are allowed to block them if it bothers or triggers you. You are not allowed to demand that transgressive art never exist. Especially when the artists are marginalized or queer and already have society trying to erase them.

Architectural Technology major here; we talked about this pretty extensively in my humanities class. Not only is this all true but it's written pretty plainly in a book from 2001 called Suburban Nation. Huge recommend if you're interested in learning why American infrastructure sucks.

Quick tip for any home maintenance workers, contractors etc.; don't make jokes about stealing things or taking advantage of your client being home alone unless you want them to instantly distrust and dislike you. I am not a fan of the home inspectors who came by to check out my partner's house...

If you play Deltarune and enjoy it, going back to Undertale will feel very clunky and slow imo. Also Deltarune seems to reference Undertale more with each chapter so you'll get some context if you play it first.

This, but unfortunately I like Touhou and desperately crave a skill ceiling that the fandom simply won't adapt to :')

You're absolutely right, and the biggest issue I have with urban development in the 21st century is that "affordable" stops meaning anything past the development phase. Affordable to build? Sure, if you use cheap materials and outsource labor. But where are we, the consumer, seeing those benefits?

Crow @ebonycrow.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

if they were really so concerned with players alienating a game because the developers used AI, you'd think they would consider just... not using AI.

yeah I honestly agree, same with people using the word "larping" in the same context. When did we stop calling people posers...

My first and possibly only contribution to the Tomodachi Life craze

Three Mii's from the game, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Two of them are meant to resemble Kris and Undyne from another game, Deltarune. The third Mii is facing away from the camera and towards the two of them. Undyne points towards Kris, accompanied by the dialogue "I guess the concept of a queer was too much for Kris..."

quick everyone, start playing hentai and super violent games for discord to notice you are an adult lol

However, some users may not have to go through either form of age verification. Discord is also rolling out an age inference model that analyzes metadata like the types of games a user plays, their activity on Discord, and behavioral signals like signs of working hours or the amount of time they spend on Discord.

"If we have a high confidence that they are an adult, they will not have to go through the other age verification flows," Badalich says.

I know this isn't totally related nor a permanent fix, but Firefox lets you download adblock extensions on the mobile app so usually I just watch on browser. Plus there's extensions that let you watch in the mini player or listen with your screen off.

Just a quick PSA for anyone out there thinking of/already using #OCSN (OC Social Network), they were founded by Status AI and Wishroll Inc. I'm not making any accusations here but they LITERALLY run a roleplaying AI on the side and you're feeding them training data. Please be smart with your art.

Not officially confirmed but Nelvana, one of Canada's most storied animation studios, appears to have quietly closed down on Friday, yet another casualty of Corus Entertainment's struggle to survive.

FortierMorghan on Twitter: There is no news about this. No announcements. But Nelvana closed its doors today. My dad worked there. It was, to a great extent, the playground I grew up in. It breaks my heart where the industry is going. This company deserved better announcement around this. Better celebration of its contribution to the Canadian entertainment system. But just…. nothing.

Twitter conversation:

Jason the Cartoon Fan on January 17: Nelvana is in serious danger of going defunct, with its assets folded into the rest of its parent company Corus Entertainment.

jenbrained on August 31: Closed its doors on Friday. One of Canadas oldest and most prolific animation studios, produced hundreds of works, just gone in a snap. Canadian media is in a real crisis and it’s gonna get worse

Amethyst Deceiver replies: Holy shit *the* nelvana? Half of the stuff on kids TV in the late nineties was produced there

jenbrained replies: Yep. Many crew members have ended their last productions or are in the midst of closing up shop. Super super sad :/ Mix of streaming taking over and incompetent Canadian telecom companies bleeding money. Huge loss to the animation scene here

Voice actor Deven Mack on Twitter: With 54 years of history yet no major fanfare, Nelvana Ltd. closed its doors this past week.

Some know this animation studio for their work on Rock & Rule, Star Wars Holiday Special, Droids and Ewoks. I knew them for incredible 90s shows that captured my imagination as a child.

As a teen in 2006, Nelvana gave me my first foray into professional voice over with Lab Rat in Grossology, my first and only anime roles as Zeo in Beyblade: Metal Masters and Wynton Bakugan: Battle Planet, along with countless other productions up until this past year.
