#31HorrorFilms31Days 25. GET OUT Jordan Peele really came firing out of the chute with one of the best first time directorial efforts of all time

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 11h

It’s sadly realistic - I’ve had 2 in a row gross like 180 million and it’s “MEH”

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 12h

Oh hell this is going to suck me in, isn’t it?

#31HorrorFilms31Days 24. THE TOXIC AVENGER (2023) I wish it wasn’t all CGI gore (but that’s pretty unavoidable I guess) but it was fun in a ridiculous way

#31HorrorShirts31Days Day 7 - JAWS 2 My wife’s least favorite Jaws film

#31HorrorFilms31Days 23. V/H/S BEYOND ok, I screwed up the numbering earlier but now I am back on the correct track

#31HorrorFilms31Days 21. V/H/S 85 Some of the segments felt a little more 1985 than others

#31HorrorFilms31Days 20. X I never got around to seeing MAXXXINE butbits on the list for sometime this month so I need to fit in the first 2 as well

#31HorrorFilms31Days 19. REC 3 : GENESIS I wasn’t expecting them to abandon the found footage part after the opening but it was still a good “zombie” movie

#31HorrorShirts31Days Day 6 - SCARS OF DRACULA Not my favorite of the Hammer Dracula films but still better than the ones where they move him to the 70s

#31HorrorFilms31Days 17. HOUSE OF WAX I have always loved this one even if the attempt to shoehorn in the 3D effects are silly

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

#31HorrorFilms31Days 16. EVIL DEAD BURN I think I liked the last one more but still liked this one. Plenty of good gore

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Ugh - I hate both of these Zombie movies so much. I can’t even really consider them Halloween movies. Maybe if they were the same movies but removed from the Halloween universe I might like them more?

#31HorrorFilms31Days 14. V/H/S 2 This one and the next one are probably my least favorites of the series but I still like them

Need to get caught up posting my #31HorrorFilms31Days picks 10. THE LONG WALK I was a big fan of the book as a kid and I really liked this adaptation.

010

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

#31HorrorFilms31Days 9. INSIDIOUS I realized there are a few sequels at the end that I haven’t seen so I’m doing the series. This one is so fucking good

#31HorrorFilms31Days 6. PENNY LANE IS DEAD Saw this pop up on Shutter and based on a few friends’ Letterboxd reviews I decided to check it out. It was nothing that you haven’t seen before but it was fun and zips right along

#31HorrorFilms31Days 3. HALLOWEEN I always kick off and end October with a viewing (with at least 1 or 2 other watches happening sometime throughout the month)

000

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

#31HorrorFilms31Days 2. THE DEVIL’S CANDY I had already seen this before but it’s worth a rewatch. Best thing about it is it gets going right away and then finishes up in a tight 80 minutes

020

Count Derek-ula 🎃🧛🏻‍♂️ @dzack1.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Since I fell so fat behind on #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days , switching to my usual #31HorrorFilms31Days (where I can count any movie I watch). Let’s see how many over 31 I get to - my non-Covid year record is 128 from 2025 1. HALLOWEEN H2O Wanted a HALLOWEEN movie to start but saving the others

I don’t post a lot on Bluesky and even more rarely post jokes and I just had my first “well, actually” comment on a joke and I blocked them right away and I felt the thrill that prolific Blueskyers must feel every day
