Oh. Also. A stupid colored pencil drawing I titled Pockets of Gender Runoff. I was testing these pencils I found in my office. My god, that alt text was hard as hell to figure out.
A colored pencil drawing with abstract, bubble-like shapes in blues, greens, yellow, and orange. The left part of the image is taken up by three large, overlapping blue and green bubbles surrounded in a dark blue and yellow outline, dripping blue and yellow toward the bottom of the page like rain. The right side features several hastily scribbled orange and yellow bubbles dripping with yellow. The white space on the right is also filled with many smaller bubbles, almost like distant planets.

Actually, I have this reference of me with flags already included! I'll take any of the flags.
A reference sheet for an anthro dragon. He's white and furry with a blue tuft of hair on his head and at the tip of his tail. There is a streak of graying hair in both his head hair and his tail tuft. He has green eyes and fluffy cheeks, a pair of ears but no horns. He standing with his paws folded in front of him and one wing outstretched to take up most of the page. A sample of his blue, mammal-like paw pads can be seen off to the side. There is text that reads "Stormy the Space Dragon" and below are the pronouns he/him/his and ey/em/eirs. Below the text are small pride flags for bigender, nonbinary, aporagender, and transmaverine.

I doodled some bodies today.
A drawing in marker on white paper. There are rows of nude bodies in many shapes and size in rainbow order - a row of red, then orange, then yellow, green, blue, and purple. There are people with and without breasts, top surgery scars, genitals, limb differences (including prosthetics for both arms and legs), and both walking canes and arm crutches. There are about 70 people drawn on the page.

It doesn't always happen the way you expect.
A gradient-colored bar sits against a black background. The gradient looks like a sunset transitioning into a sunrise, starting with yellow, then orange, then pink, then deep blue, then light purple. Each color is labeled in white: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. Each labeled segment is very small other than Depression, whose length takes up more than half of the bar before reaching Acceptance.

36-year-old #dragonkin trucking along.
A drawing of a furry white dragon from the chest up, drawn against a white background. He has a crest of blue fur on his head and a tuft of fur on the end of his tail that's curling up into frame - both sections of blue fur have a silvery blue streak through them. The dragon has emerald green eyes, a pair of ears, and a pair of wings.

A white background with several uncolored doodles of a furry dragon from the chest up. He has a pair of pointed ears, fluffy cheeks, and a swoopy crest of hair on his head. The doodles consist of a variety of facial expression such as neutral, frazzled, sleepy, giggly, and crying. The facial expressions are shown at a few different angles.A pink outline of a peryton landing gracefully on two hooved feet, her wings spread wide and her hands folded in front of her. I set one particularly goal for myself this year, and it was to get my queer memoir to 30,000 words by 2026. I just accomplished that goal ten minutes ago.
A screenshot of a word document on Google Docs, cropped to show the word count. The word count reads:

Pages: 89
Words: 30,001
Characters: 163,698
Characters excluding spaces: 133,824

Some of the text can be seen in the background but is cut off. It mentions the gender binary as an unrealistic system.

Nothin' feaky. Just me loafing about.
A simple line drawing of a furry, four-legged dragon laying in a "loafing" position, its head tilted downward and its eyes closed as it sleeps. It has a pair of bat-like wings, short spiked hair on the head, and a long tail wrapped around itself with a tuft of fur on the end of it.

Some gender musings for the day.
A screenshot of a blog post from Tumblr user your-bigender-big-brother which reads:

"Adopting 'autonomy' into my vernacular when talking about gender feels like a really important 'big brain' moment, kind of like that meme where the person is meditating and gradually reaches some kind of explosive-brained higher self as new concepts are added. That's pretty much where I'm at as I start to talk more about defining gender for myself and undefining it at the same time (you know, the whole recontextualization and disidentification thing within a maverine scope.)

I consider myself incredibly lucky to be a part of the overall discussion of gender as an ontological topic and how my own personal experiences, biases, discoveries, and opinions play into it all. I enjoy the meta-narrative of gender as a concept, not just the discovery of rare new labels.

Sometimes I wonder when I would reach that one big eye-opening moment. I guess it's a rare occurence for some, because it's more common to keep discovering new things about oneself and finding better ways to discuss all the intricacies, rather than coming to a 'conclusion.' There might not ever be one singular big brain moment and then that's the end of my journey - I think there will be several of those moments and it'll just go on and on, compounding on themselves and creating an ever-growing tangle of gendered webs."

The post signs off with "Your Bigender Big Brother 💙💚" at the bottom.

My homepage on Firefox (and many other browsers) feels like walking past a magazine rack in a supermarket. Popular today, really? Are people talking about Watership Down and stealing razors right now?
A screenshot of a number of articles featured on Firefox's homepage.

The first one reads: "Caitlin Clark’s Season Is Over, but the Mob’s Anger Isn’t About Her Health

The Indiana Fever have shut down their star for the rest of 2025. And the toxic elements of her fanbase have lost a culture-war totem." There is a photo of Caitlin Clark in the thumbnail.

The second article reads: "In 1978, One Deranged Animated Movie Traumatized a Generation." It shows a scene from Watership Down, a black and white cartoon movie featuring rabbit characters.

The third article reads: "Here’s What an 8-Hour Gutter Guards Upgrade Should Cost You." There is a stock photo of a white man with black hair cleaning out a gutter.

The next article reads: "House GOP Releases Full Jeffrey Epstein 'Birthday Book.' What’s in It?" It shows a photo of two older white men standing side by side.

The next article reads: "Ask a Pro: 'What Expenses Can Be Deducted from Capital Gains Tax?'" The article features a middle-aged white man with a graying goatee sitting in front of a mic at a desk.

The next article reads: "Cacio e Pepe Chicken" with a closeup photo of said dish.

The next article reads: "Why Thieves Love to Steal Razors" with a heavily Photoshopped image of someone in a ski mask and all-black attire. They are holding three razors in one hand and has a box labeled "RAZORS" under the other arm, and they are running so fast that there is a motion blur behind them.

My new FNaF OC.
Two versions of the same Five Nights at Freddy's OC, a peryton (winged deer.) The one on the left is intact. He is brown with deer-like hands and bird-like feet. He has small white feathered wings and a white feathered tail. His muzzle is white and he has green eyes. He has big deer-like ears and a small pair of antlers.

The one on the left is in poor condition and seems to be falling apart. The bottom half of his jaw appears to have fallen off, revealing a metal endoskeleton jaw with teeth. There's a huge hole torn in the chest, revealing metal parts and some wires. His left hand has fallen off to reveal a metal hand and his right foot has done the same. His overall brown color is faded and the white has yellowed. His left eye is missing, leaving only a black void with a single white pupil. His left antler has broken off and his right one's paint is chipping off to reveal white underneath.

The green text on the page reads "Pryce the Peryton" and "he/she" is written underneath.

I'm making my first hand-drawn physical zine and I decided my short poetry should go in it. It's called The Heart Exhibit and I plan on having six different issues of the zine, all different collections of poems with some tiny illustrations to go with them.
A hand is holding open a zine with a handwritten poem on each page, written in black pen. The page on the left has a poem that reads:

"Bravery

The little girl stops,
one final step off the bus.
With a dramatic breath,
she leaps onto the sidewalk.
Her mother applauds
and I think about courage.
I think about how
bravery is different for us all."

The page on the right has a poem that reads:

"Resilience in Gold Armor

A dandelion grows under a bench
Having sprung through the brick pavement
It makes me think about resilience
And it reminds me that no matter what
The thickest walls can't hold back
What was always meant to be"

This poem has an illustration of a dandelion growing out of brick pavement, colored in with colored pencil and outlined in black pen.

Better times, man.
A screenshot of a YouTube comment by user name StormyTalks under a video by Mina Le about social media. The comment reads:

Your experience is so different from mine. I grew up when MySpace was the addictive platform, but I started with AOL Messenger before that. It was the only way I connected to people. I used to look up forums for people who just wanted to chat and I would pop in, way too young for some of those spaces, just to see how other people talked on the internet (meaning I didn't have an "internet accent" in the way I typed because I only saw much older folks chatting about whatever.) When on AIM, I just talked like myself with my friends. Sometimes strangers. Sometimes I got into some serious trouble that way. MySpace was the first introduction to popularity online, but only in a closed circuit: The whole friends list hierarchy thing. People would try to be in others' top ten. But it was only amongst ourselves. No algorithm. No ads selling us remedies for all the things the elites thought were wrong with us. We didn't even get hate comments or unsolicited DMs. No bots either. It was a great time and I wish social media platforms took all those very good things and built on them to make better online spaces for everyone. Instead, using social media feels like I'm trapped as a cog in a Capitalism Machine. There's no life or emotion anymore. There are no one-on-one connections. It's so bleak.

I have created a fictional sapient species called a mole cat and I'm currently working on building up their world. Check that out at mole-cats on Tumblr if you like this sort of stuff!
Two badger-like beings stand facing each other. They have whiskered faces with eyes that have goat-like pupils. They also have a small extra pair of pupil-less eyes. Long spines run down their back, and their tails are fat and not very long. They have a cat-like smile on their snouts and no external ears. They stand plantigrade and their front paws hang in front. The one on the right is taller, a bit bulkier, and has fluffy fur around the neck. She has a purple symbol next to her, similar to the female symbol but with one extra line on the bottom. The one on the right is shorter and thinner, with a symbol next to him that looks like a male symbol pointing straight up.

Why don't people choose kindness and understanding? Why this?
A screenshot of comments on a YouTube video by StormyTalks. For context, the video is about a gender quality called maverine.

The first comment, by user Valarien010, reads:
"What is it tied too then? What is its roots? If it is completely seperate and independent from the two ends of and the everything in between gradient of 'man' and 'woman' what is
its foundation? Where does its concept
rest on?"

The response to this comment, by user StormyTalks, reads:
"Its existence is entirely dependent on the separation from pre-existing gender concepts.

This is the part that frustrates me. I am not an educator. I am simply a layperson talking about my experience with gender and tangentially related gender concepts. I should not need to know the entre history of gender as a sociological concept in order to talk about personal experiences. But this is what is expected of transgender people who don't neatly align with your fabricated, socially acceptable gender binary of man and woman.

It starts to make me feel like a fucking social experiment and not a real human being with a life outside of the internet."

I think if I were a Christian, I'd probably follow Pelagianism.
A screenshot from the Wikipedia article on Pelagianism, which reads:

Free will and original sin:

The idea that God had created anything or anyone who was evil by nature struck Pelagius as Manichean.Pelagius taught that humans were free of the burden of original sin, because it would be unjust for any person to be blamed for another's actions. According to Pelagianism, humans were created in the image of God and had been granted conscience and reason to determine right from wrong, and the ability to carry out correct actions. If "sin" could not be avoided it could not be considered sin. In Pelagius' view, the doctrine of original sin placed too little emphasis on the human capacity for self-improvement, leading either to despair or to reliance on forgiveness without responsibility. He also argued that many young Christians were comforted with false security about their salvation leading them to relax their Christian practice.

Pelagius believed that Adam's transgression had caused humans to become mortal, and given them a bad example, but not corrupted their nature, while Caelestius went even further, arguing that Adam had been created mortal. He did not even accept the idea that original sin had instilled fear of death among humans, as Augustine said. Instead, Pelagius taught that the fear of death could be overcome by devout Christians, and that death could be a release from toil rather than a punishment. Both Pelagius and Caelestius reasoned that it would be unreasonable for God to command the impossible, and therefore each human retained absolute freedom of action and full responsibility for all actions. Pelagius did not accept any limitation on free will, including necessity, compulsion, or limitations of nature. He believed that teaching a strong position on free will was the best motivation for individuals to reform their conduct.

Many traits we associate with mammals today, including straight limbs and complex teeth, first evolved in therapsids and their relatives more than 250 million years ago. Gorgonops grew to nearly 6 feet in length, and was an important large predator in its environment. It lived from 260-255 million years ago, during the end of the Permian Period, nearly 10 million years before the first dinosaurs. Similar to extinct saber-toothed cats, gorgonopsids likely used their large canine teeth to capture and consume their prey."

A closeup of the coffee cup now fills the frame with no other detail except simple color to show its full of coffee. There is steam coming out of the cup. The text reads "I'll forget I even had coffee."The drawing is unchanged other than noticeably less steam coming from the cup. The text says "Tomorrow will be the same. The same old nothingness."The drawing is still the same, but now the coffee has no steam coming off of it. There is no text.

A very basic scribbly person holds a cup of steaming hot coffee, walking across a floor. There are very few details. The text reads "Today, it's like every other day. A cup of hot coffee. No plans. No motivations."The person is walking through a door and into an office space where there is a desk, a big computer monitor, a webcam, a nearby mic on a mic stand, and a wall lined with acoustic foam paneling. The text says "I'll go into the office, ignoring all the tech around me. These are all forgotten. The mic, my webcam, the lighting. Nobody really cares about my YouTube channel. I don't either."The person is now sitting at the desk, one hand on the mouse and the other propping up eir head, looking almost bored despite the lack of facial features. The text says "I'll sit and scroll through Tumblr, maybe play Flight Rising. I'll forget I had essays to write. A zine to illustrate. I really don't care."
