If there’s one thing I’ve learned about social media it’s that every quote attributed to someone in history is either wrong, paraphrased or from another person entirely.

Del Taco is doing a tacoberfest promotion and if I was in charge it would be called tactober or tacotober fest

New apartment in Hollywood is perfect. Not officially “moved in” until the 12th but got access to the unit today. Never would believe I’d be here at 32!

I wish guitar influencers didn’t reduce the pentatonic scale into a meme. Every time a classic rock guitarist solo clip pops up on my feed the comments are just “he’s just playing the pentatonic scale” 3 chords and 5 notes is all you need to connect with a listener.

People with your level of smugness got us into this situation and will not be the ones to get us out. Begone with your neoliberal rhetoric

No borders between working people. No manufactured culture war between neighbors. Solidarity across every state, every region, and every political label.

The answer isn’t separation. It’s understanding, dialogue, and finding common ground. We are stronger when we stand together.

Los Angeles is my home and I know our ways are kind of funny to outsiders but at the end of the day we’re all Americans and that should unite us against tyranny in all forms.

Agreed. Electrics are simple for me but acoustics are actual carpentry

Funnily enough I originally bought the harmony because of the Nirvana connection but the neck wasn’t set and the bridge had come off.

I feel you! The move to LA a couple years ago + underemployment put me in the hole. This is not a profession for the weak!

Packing my apartment up today. Just got rid of 2 acoustics I’ve been wanting to “repair” for years. An old harmony and a crappy parlor guitar. Out with the old, in with the new

That’s a big accomplishment! Congratulations 🎉

I love the extra space in a mix. The wall of compression and perfectly quantized instruments is overdone.

If your name was completely stripped from all of your music…would people still tell it was you?

Marketing can be art. It’s manipulative and kind of a ghoulish at times but I think there is an art form there. A reason that movies, music, concerts, museums, fairs, and any artistic event “fail” is often due to poor marketing.

I didn’t know disc golf was a frisbee based sport for the longest time. Mentally I thought of those plates people shoot and hitting them into the air with a golf club.

Lots of changes this year. New job, new apartment, transitioning from making my own music to producing music for others. The only constant is change !

How come certain celebrities like Madonna and Bono seems to say the right things publicly but still get backlash? This is just food for thought, I know a singular person doesn’t have the answer to this, I appreciate you for responding 🙏

How do you figure out if a person is just making a statement to hop on the bandwagon?

At least the ragtime players died before big band took over

I think it’s weird when musicians like Todd Rundgren and Jack White blame video games for the decline of rock music.

It was also during his coke era so that probably didn’t help 😆

I read once that’s why Bowie under acts in this role because he was heated over that decision. I think his nonchalant delivery works though.

We were also robbed of an original score by David Bowie and instead got one from John Phillips

When I stopped seeking external validation both online and irl my life improved dramatically. It’s tough to trust your gut but we all can’t live someone else’s idealized life.
