Hello #ESA2024! Interested in how wildfires alter #soil nitrogen cycling and losses via NO and N2O? Some “fire-loving” fungi come alive after fires to denitrify and Elizah Stephens is using isotopomers to fingerprint the N2O they produce and the substrates they use (Monday PS 3-040)

Working with Yareli and @dylan-j-enright.bsky.social, they leveraged a unique culture collection of pyrophilous fungi derived from wildfire-burned soils to assess fungal N2O and NO production potential (Monday PS 3-045)
