i struggle in terms of criticism, not reporting, as laundering and legitimizing the franchise. regardless of explanation about Rowling’s views and actions, which is vital, treating the show/audiobooks/games as serious objects keeps them in cultural conscience. they’re also too big to simply vanish 🤷🏻‍♀️
