14 hours later and the side effects from the first shingles shot have not been too bad. Mostly a very sore arm and inflamed lymph nodes on that side. Maybe a little overall achy bit hard to tell if that feeling is because both my arms hurt from getting shots in them though way less on the flu side.

The Hampden report does not surprise me. It’s long been a complaint on our neighborhood group that checks go missing from that post office and to not send anything through there and you will never get mail that looks like a card someone might have sent you money in.

Getting my first shingles shot after work along with the flu vaccine. Not looking forward to the side effects but better than shingles. I get Covid vaccines twice a year because I’m immunocompromised. I had the last one in May so I’ll reup on that in November.

Last night's final episode of Ted Lasso switched up the theme song and had it sung by Brandi Carlile instead of Marcus Mumford. My husband doubted me when I was like oh Brandi! As I if I wouldn't recognize Brandi! Totally confirmed with a post by AppleTV today.

I will never understand college students paying to just not do the work or learn anything. You could pay zero dollars and do that by not enrolling in college.

And honestly even if you're decided to not keep them on the payroll during a lockout, which I have feelings about anyway, why let them go before the lockout officially starts? It's just bad optics all around. It's like this team doesn't want fans anymore.

Maybe you can't even do anything baseball adjacent during a lockout even if the team itself isn't playing, but if that's not the case I would think what I would want is to keep doing promotional stuff with the Oriole bird and Mr. Splash to try and keep people interested. But what do I know?
