I am not a sports person. I am a team person. I don't really ever pay attention to anything happening with other baseball teams during the regular season, and now that the O's are out of it I keep being surprised to discover that baseball is still happening.

I hope whoever is making this decision is forced to do their job while standing all day, but you know it’s someone who sits behind a desk all day. I have never understood why we force people to stand in jobs that don’t require it like cashiers.

I wasn't sure how having to lock phones up in Yondr bags at a venue as large as Capital One Arena was going to go. The only other 2 times I've had to do it were at much smaller venues. It didn't seem to slow things down too much. Getting in didn't seem any slower.

Since I have to lock my phone up at the Phoebe Bridgers concert tonight I was thinking maybe I would just leave it at home or in my car, but then I smartly remembered I still need it at the venue as my ticket before they lock it away.

Got my ticket to Brandi Carlile's all request tour in Port Chester, NY. Now I have to figure out the logistics of getting there. I can totally take Amtrak to NYC, switch from Penn Station to Grand Central and pick up Metro North. The venue is right next to the train station.

OMG Brandi Carlile is doing an all request tour that she's calling "Burn the Set List" in tiny venues. The closest she's getting is Port Chester, NY. I could also fly to Tucson and see my parents too, but that's a long flight and plane tickets are hella expensive right now.

I don't have this exact one but a very similar GE alarm clock complete with brown fake wood panel look and red light. The fact that we replaced red lights with blue/green lights on alarm clocks is the worst. The red light does not keep you up or wake you up further if you glance at it in the night.

Somehow the Orioles not getting in a final game seems fitting for this year. If there's really not going to be baseball next season, I vote we load Camden Yards up with concerts. I'm open to other ideas too. I hate to see it sitting empty until April 2028.

My husband thought he was doing a good thing buying me raspberries at the farmers market yesterday but he forgot that they are one of the many foods my body has decided it hates. My loss is my coworkers gain as they are now going to work with me in the form of muffins.

My 2 cents on the discourse of the day is that I am someone who is super into new music, just not necessarily what is topping the pop charts. I have heard that song one billion times by now but it was at number one for a while before I did. Zara Larsson also hit number one before I heard of her.

Apparently my phone is part of a class action lawsuit where it didn’t come with some promised Siri Intelligence something I would never know because I want none of it. I have always kept Siri turned off on my iPhones until I bought my car in Mayband had to turn it on to get CarPlay to work.

Trying to decide if I want to buy tickets to see Joan Osborne perform the entirety of her first album live at the Barns at Wolf Trap. If it was her second album I would be there in a heartbeat. That album is burned into my soul because it was an in-store play when I started working at B&N.

I started watching Crew Girl on Netflix and one of these actors is clearly a 30 year old playing a 16 year old. I tried to look up how old he is and there are lots of articles saying how old all the other actors are (low to mid 20s) but they all say his is unknown and I’m like yeah because he’s 30.

Feeling super good that the eye drops the eye doctor told me to buy first had a recall on them in April due to potential manufacturing impurities and now are off the market because the FDA decided that they don't meet the requirements to be an OTC medication.

Usually a Ravens game is a good time to go to the grocery store but apparently Moms shoppers are also all anti-football because that place was mobbed. Even the employees were talking about how weird it was it was so busy while the game was happening.

I have seen many an artist go out into the crowd to perform, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen one bring a ladder with them to stand on. So good on you St. Paul and the Broken Bones for giving me a concert first, which is not easy to do.

XPNFest fascinates me because WXPN is the University of Pennsylvania radio station and they play new music but their audience is not college kids who don’t listen to the radio anymore and the festival attendance is mostly people in their 60s and 70s. Older music lovers = my kind of crowd.
