I served in the #PeaceCorps in #Nicaragua from 2014 - 2017. I didn't know it then, but being #autistic made it a unique sensory experience for me. Sometimes the music and sights could be ecstatic. But somewhat more frequently they were overwhelming... In the end, the noise was essential.

Bobby LaPin for Baltimore! Senator Bill Ferguson has lost his credibility as a progressive. He's been bought - we can see it in his campaign finance records and in his policy. I know from personal experience that Bill isn't just cruel in his policy, he is cruel in how he treats "subordinates."

People are incredibly complex: Take me for example I was identified as a "gifted" person around 2nd grade. Guess how many teachers ever saw my full skill set on display? About 10%... I suspect this is true of most children: They don't feel related to, so they don't show up 100% cognitively!
