RIP Margaret Hamilton. Such a life well led. I remember getting this children's book for the young daughter of a friend back in 2019. And naturally, I bought a copy for myself.

🤣 Howard da Silva had a really great career despite (IIRC) being blacklisted for a period of time. One "under the radar" role of his was in 1962's "David and Lisa" - a really great small scale film of that era.

An interesting note on the “discovery” of #TheLostWeekend as noir: the film was NOT included in Taschen Book’s first volume on the subject (Left). It is, has been, however, included in their most recent (updated and expanded) overview of the subject (Right). #TheNoirCollective

An entire month with Myrna Loy is sure to put a smile on one’s face. 😊 I recall reading about her when I first started to get into classic film and as legendary as her screen career was, I hope mention is made of her off-camera advocacy. She was truly ahead of her time. #TCMParty #LibeledLady

For NY Mets fans (of a certain vintage), this was *our* FELIX THE CAT ..... (and yes, the organist at Shea Stadium - Jane Jarvis - would play a couple of notes from the cartoon theme whenever he came to bat).

Can't stay with #TheNanny (Sorry Bette), but this film does have two future James Bond cast members. Both Jill Bennett and James Villiers were both in 1981's "For Your Eyes Only" as "Jacoba Brink" and "Bill Tanner". BTW: The story of Ms. Bennett and husband John Osborne is really sad. #TCMParty

Tough question. While opinions about her acting are mixed, Lizabeth "the threat" Scott did have screen presence and is one of my favorite noir fixtures. As for a film; I'll go with "Too Late For Tears". The final image of the money and her dead hands just screams "NOIR!" 😎 #TheNoirCollective
