A weird roadside truck stop soft serve ice cream stand was recommended to me, where you can get vanilla, matcha, or mixed soft serve. Options are cup, cone, waffle cone, or BLACK CONE... Surprise, Goth ice cream!

Back in the 1980s the Japanese language incorporated "computer game software" as "gemu-sofuto" and it persists now. Fast forward to today, me having an argument with a 10yr old girl because she cannot accept that the sentence "I want a Nintendo game for my birthday" has no "sofuto" in it.

I spent two days deep-cleaning my kitchen.

The left side of my kitchen, nice and clean. Yes, I have two refrigerators. My gas range has a fish grilling drawer on the front.

The right side of my kitchen, nice and clean. The food prep shelf is pulled out, but it can be pushed back in when I am cleaning dishes in the sink.

They let me pull about four feet of daikon radish out of the school garden this year. For scale, that's full pages of newspaper they're wrapped diagonally in. I know what I am eating this winter.
