Meanwhile, in the SR-71 rumor-mill... "Hey...pssst... you....yeah you....wake up.....did you hear that 844 is getting powered-up ?....so like we are next right ?....right ?" 😇

During the IAC SpaceX had a presentation on Starlink and public ephemeris (location) data to help traffic coordination, (one could of course launch less crap but I digress..) it showed interesting on-orbit shots detailing some of the close approaches Source: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6gE...

So we have a little bit of a timeline, NASA Admin visits SR-71 844 on January 25th. Checking our little Sentinel friends, it seems that 844 has been moved between 21 and 26th of February (!) so several months earlier then previously reported (May)

Post script part 2: Just for fun, right next to this building, guess what ? NRO is building a new building, called WPF, or Western Processing Facility, for bigger (5 meter diameter) payloads To be continued ?

There is more detailed information, and although it is listed as public, I find plans related to electrical and security topics a lapse in OPSEC, so, as this is still an active classified facility, I will leave it at that, its a satellite processing facility used by the NRO...

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
Further digging into the public documents found another nugget, confirmation that this building is still active and was used to process a payload for the NRO, L-47, USA-281, a possible TOPAZ/FIA radar satellite

After finding the building name I started to find more information, including the link to the NRO, in 2017 the HVAC of the building was replaced/upgraded and an addition was built, not knowing the details, I previously reported on that addition on twitter some years ago.

As its hard to find more about a building if you don't know its name, I started there, I doubt it was still called OMCF, so I needed a map, luckily for me, hunters in the area needed good maps, and Vandenberg provided one ! so building 3000 it is

It took me a bit to find and prove this, so lets start with the basics, the location at Vandenberg, the building sits close to the south east end of the runway, mostly unchanged, until something changed around 2017, which is where my initial trail began...

DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026
Although the Space Shuttle usage at Vandenberg was cancelled, the building was pretty much ready, after cancellation however, the building was handed over to its current user at some point. The current user you ask ? after "some digging around" I found out it is the NRO...

So, part of my deep dive on X-37B facilities I looked at another building... Although this building doesn't seem to be related to X-37B ops, or at least its lacking evidence, the building has an interesting history, it is Vandenbergs version of the Space Shuttle OPF, aka OMCF

Part of my deep dive on X-37B facilities I looked at another building.. I had to do some due diligence... however later this week some more info on the topic of Vandenberg's version of the Space Shuttle OPF, aka OMCF The building still exists, has expanded, and has changed owner, a 3 letter owner

Final note on the Astrotech PPF building, it seems it is being expanded with a new cleanroom, the topping-off was celebrated 2nd of September, you can see the Airlock used OTV-1 on the left.
0130
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 19/09/2026
For OTV-3 and OTV-7 it is currently unknown which facility was used, although I would not be surprised if it was the same HPF building 1610, but that remains a guess as evidence is missing, also more recent images of this building are missing.
1110
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 19/09/2026
For OTV-2 however, this is not the case, for whatever reason they switched from Astrotech to the (former ?) NASA Hazardous Processing Facility, aka building 1610, identification, again, was done by looking at other images, like this image KSC-08pd3500 of NOAA-N prime processing
190
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 19/09/2026
Reason why i'm pretty sure, is there are several images of this same airlock where the location is mentioned, a good example is this image KSC-20250119-PH-ATR01_0542 of the PUNCH Satellites, notice the emergency exit door and the height indication (10) on the wall
1111
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 19/09/2026
For OTV-1, after a bit of research and checking the only picture available, I'm pretty sure the building is the airlock of the Astrotech PPF, aka ASO building 1032
1101
DutchSpace @dutchspace.eurosky.social · 19/09/2026
The focus will be OTV-1 & OTV-2 as we have evidence available on those. After landing on runway 12 & runway processing, it is towed back to a processing facility. Now the reason for this thread, I wrongly assumed it is the same building it was towed into, except, it wasn't...

So, a bit of a deep dive/thread on the X-37B processing after landing at Vandenberg. This is probably very boring and nerdy, so you have been warned :) Note: this is evidence based, using public sources, I'll indicate when I make educated guesses.
