DaysofHalloween 31 horror films in October that are new to me. # 7 I’m counting this as a new watch because I only remember maybe 1 scene from when I stayed up to watch it with my mom when I was 7-8ish. I don’t like the book. Don’t like the 90s movie. Really liked the mini-series.

First try at vegan gummies using reduced fruit puree and pectin was tricky and flawed , but it was a decent success. Way better than using agar agar.

I didn’t like a single scene in The End of Oak Street. There wasn’t anything related to filmmaking or storytelling that I enjoyed. It wasn’t dumb fun. It was just dumb. I disliked the first scene. I disliked the second scene. I disliked the 17th scene. I even hated the dog.

The 90s were insane. There was this R-rated action movie called Con Air that was practically treated like a family-friendly event. A child killer is possibly about to slaughter a little girl, but she sings to him at the right time and he finds Jesus. He gets away at the end and it earned a clap.

If you were making a rom com about 2 people trying to have sex when sex was only allowed 1 night a year, it wouldn’t make much sense to fill the movie with sex. That’s like complaining that a movie where an asteroid will destroy the earth in 12 hours doesn’t start with a bunch of asteroids.

Evil Dead Burn comes right out of the gate swinging …….and missing. The whole movie is a series of weak ideas that are fairly poorly executed. It’s not hip. It’s not cool. It’s not memorable. It’s not tense. The acting is fine. The finale is 💩. The director’s style just isn’t my cup of blood.
