After a few delays over the last couple of months due to all kinds of issues it's finally time. Clair Obscur: expedition 33 first time play through in its entirety. Should be in the... 33 hour range. Starting at 2pm CST. www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Finished up dragon quest 7 reimagined in about 28 hours straight. A few hours faster than anticipated so that always helps. Good game, too easy on “medium”. I’ll be back on Tuesday to go through all of expedition 33 in a single sitting finally. Bed time.

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 13/02/2026

Well this is the big 1 year streaming anniversary. Going to play through all of Dragon Quest 7 reimagined. Supposedly in the 35 hour long range. I wish Keifer didn't look like the Matt Damon puppet from team america. Starting soon! www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Done Final Fantasy pixel remaster 2 Clocking in at about 12.5 hours. Between that and FF 1 last night at around 9 hours its been a decent few days. Not sure if i'm going to do more pixel remasters or expedition 33 yet. I'll figure that out in the next day or two.

030

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

Had a good rest. That means it's time to tackle the Final Fantasy 2 pixel remaster next. Can't seem to find for sure if the game is 13 hours or 20 hours long. Either way let's get this started, I have stuff to get done tomorrow! Starting shortly! www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Turns out the internet lied and the Final Fantasy pixel remaster was only about 9 hours long. That’s short. Gonna rest now and think of what game comes next. Lots of adulting to do so maybe put off anything until expedition 33 this weekend.

Alright well it's been a while! New computer acquired so let's get back into it. Today I'm going to play through the Final Fantasy 1 pixel remaster. Should be about 15 hours or so the internet tells me. let's get started right away! www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Alright well unfortunately I’ve tried all of the regular things and obs just refuses to cooperate. Going to have to cancel stream for today and try and figure out why it’s refusing to not crash after nothing has changed.

Going to be loading up the second Lunar RPG in a short bit. So come hang out and watch me play this roughly 30 hour long game in its entirety. Never played this one before either. More 90's anime RPG should be great. So many cut scenes in the first. www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Due to technical difficulties yesterday I ended up playing Lunar: Silver Star Story instead of Expedition 33. I'd never played this game before and it wasn't bad at all. It was super simple and reeked of the 90's. Fun, short, and invoked nostalgia. 6/10

Finished up the BL visual novel Togainu No Chi. It was fairly fun mostly due do to how edgy it was. Motomi was easily my favourite character, with Keisuke being my most disliked. Now it's on to the next BL read with the visual novel paradise. wish me luck.

Just like that Dragon Quest 2 HD remake is in the books. Was as long as I'd figured it would be at just over 34 hours. Fantastic game, the remakes of 2 and 3 are really special stuff. highly recommend.

It's been a few days and my schedule is tight but let's get on to the next half of the Dragon Quest remake. Starting right now it's the entirety of the Dragon Quest 2 HD remake. Should take about 30 hours and it's already 1AM so this is gonna be tough. www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt

Something I've seen a lot lately. People will post "This manga is amazing you need to check it out!" and then not actually put the name of it anywhere. Dozens of these types of posts and not a single title anywhere to be seen. Please don't do this to me, I want to know!

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

No, thank you!!! Is in the books. Interesting story but it feels like an extra chapter was missing after completing every route? Oh well on the the next BL visual novel, togainu no chi. This looks edgy as hellll

040

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 11/10/2025

Finished up the first route for the BL visual novel no, thank you!!! That was a lot. Things happened. For some reason the steam version has uncensored sex scenes? And not just a few, the first route had 8 or 9 of them. Will move on to aloof glasses man route tomorrow.

Going to be reading through a series of boys love visual novels over the course of the next few months. I’ve already finished dramatical murder and sweet pool. Currently reading No, thank you!!! This is going to be some kind of journey.

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 10/09/2025

Silksong got an update nerfing a few earlier game bosses. How does this help? The end game is still going to be just as difficult and now people are going to be less prepared. Nevermind the fact that one of the bosses they nerfed was one of the easier bosses in the game.

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

Hollow Knight: Silksong is in the books. Just over 33 hours straight, in game time of 31. Some of the most fun boss fights I've ever had the pleasure of beating. Got lost or frustrated at a few parts but otherwise stellar. 8.5/10 #hollowknight #silksong #teamcherry

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 02/09/2025

Well then, Hollow Knight didn't take nearly as long to beat as i thought it would. I certainly didn't aim for any of the best ending but still, ending 1 in 13 hours on my first play through feels good. Now to wait a few days for silksong. Until then, bye for now.

While contemplating what my next manga read would be I came to a sudden realization. Turns out I had started Lone Wolf and Cub a few months ago and had totally forgotten about it. With that being said it's time to keep that train rolling!

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 25/08/2025

Actually finished rereading the call of the night manga. What a fantastic series. I remember not caring for the ending my first time reading it, turns out I was wrong. Great series the whole way through 8/10. With that being said, what series should be next on my reading list?

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 23/08/2025

It’s only been about 4 months since I did a large scale manga order for new series I was interested in. Somehow in those 4 months I’ve made note of… 37 new manga series that I’d like to start. Mind you some of these are single volume one offs. I may have a problem.

020

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 23/08/2025

Almost done my second read through of the manga call of the night. It’s just as good as I remember it, maybe even better. It’s so rare that a manga succeeds in doing everything it aims to do, and call of the night absolutely nails it.

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 22/08/2025

Okay some big plans for my next return! I’m going sit down and fight with twitch and my computer illiteracy to get the Bunbun gatcha up and running properly. New buns on the way as well so look forward to spending those channel points and meeting all kinds of adorable critters.

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 19/08/2025

Okay back to reading! Next in line is a manga i believe has one of the best endings in an arc of all time: Call of the night. The English release of the manga finished recently and the second season of the anime is in full swing so it's as good of a time as ever for a reread.

Had to crash out after 26 hours of suikoden 2 but we finished it. Thanks to @winsl0.bsky.social for the raid and seemingly unlimited knowledge about the game. Getting to meet and chat with people who are passionate about the games I play is easily the best part and why I stream

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 16/08/2025

Alright after many hours of trying to get my bunbun gatcha up and running we have... limited success. I'll run it but it will be half manually done. Let's finally play through all of Suikoden 2 HD starting basically right now. www.twitch.tv/duskmantlevt #JRPG #Vtuber #ENTuber

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 14/08/2025

So I finished the manga "Given". It took me a couple of days to get through it which is unusual for something that's only 9 volumes. Gay boys in a band struggling with music and life. I absolutely loved one arc, but the others fell flat for me. 6.5/10

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

Finished the manga "I Married My Female Friend". It was short at 4 volumes and was pretty unspectacular. Nothing insightful to say, any problems felt shallow and were cleaned up easily. I'm giving this manga a 5/10. Cute but that's about it. I wonder what should I read next?

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

Delicious in Dungeon is in the books... hah. Seriously though I've finished reading the manga series and overall it was good. For me it lacked anything that was really spectacular, though it was fun the whole way through. 7/10. Up next is "I Married My Female Friend"

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

I’ve decided I’m finally going to bite the bullet and read all of the delicious in dungeon manga. I’m afraid I’m not going to like this series as much as the hype wants me to. Sorry in advance to all of the people that will inevitably want to fight me over this.

020

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

With some free time I've finally managed to catch the reading bug again. I sat down and read "Even Though we're Adults" in its entirety. It'll take some time to fully process it but I think it may be my favourite manga by author Takako Shimura. What should I read next? hmm...

000

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 06/08/2025

Well as it turns out sleep isn’t really a thing today. That being said the suikoden 2 playthrough is going to be moved to another day. playing a 30 hour long game isn’t sensible after already being up for more than 24 hours. I’ll fix up a new schedule and release that soon.

010

Astraeus Duskmantle @duskmantlevt.bsky.social · 05/08/2025

Thats the end of that. Fuga Melodies of Steel 3 is done and dusted. Its kind of wild to me how all 3 games in the series were so similarly structured. Also how the plot just kept getting more and more wild the further into the series you got. Fun stuff all around.

020
