Have y’all ever woke up and felt like you fought to the death with a train? That’s me today, apparently. I guess it’s time to make some coffee. 🫠

Tomorrow is probably going to be rough at work. There are a lot of folks concerned about their jobs, their livelihoods and their future, and our leadership hasn’t been given any insight into what’s happening with everything happening in the federal workforce.

Eggs come in all shapes, sizes and colors. The color and size can sometimes depend on the breed of chicken, as well as the size of the chicken too. An example of this is in the photo: smallest egg on the left, and largest egg on the right. Bonus photobomb of a good doggo. 💚 #BackyardChickens

Two eggs of differing size are held in a hand, with a white dog looking up, probably expecting a treat.

Sunnyside Farm’s March Employee of the Month Post: Meet Nugget! Nugget is a 4 month old backcrossed olive egger who is a recent addition to the Sunnyside flock. She recently laid her first few eggs (in tornado weather, no less) and we are so proud of her. 💚 #FarmLife #BackyardChickens

A small, black chicken lays in the corner.

Howdy folks! If you’re in the line of storms in the South coming through today, stay safe and weather aware! Make sure you know your shelter plan, and if you have to leave to get to a shelter, give yourself plenty of time before the storm gets to you!

One way I’m helping some folks in my community is by combating egg prices. I sell my farm fresh eggs for under current the current price in stores. Any money made goes back into caring for my chickens. 💚🐓

Two 18 count egg cartons full of multi-colored eggs.

I have cried so much over the past few days. I’m a federal worker and I’m exhausted. We lost some amazing, talented people in the last few days and I feel like there is nothing I can do to help. I feel like sitting and calling my senators and reps won’t help. When does this hell end?

I’m mentally exhausted. My health is failing because of all the stuff happening that’s stressing me out, and I’m scared for my future.

This weekend is part relaxation and part adding more floor cover to the coop and run. Deep litter method, for the win. #ChickenLife

So I walked outside to take my dog out before the rain… and it sounds like someone is blowing the horn of Gondor in the distance, so if you need me I’ll be rallying the men at Rohan and riding to battle, I guess.

I haven’t really posted much in the way of #VTubing lately, but figured I’d give an update on my status. Currently, I’ve been super busy with my career and stuff at home. What I would eventually like to do is keep this account as my personal/IRL one, and branch out a bit in VTubing. (1/4)

The accent wall is coming along nicely. Got a lot more potential space to fill though, and have more signs incoming soon.

Step 1 of 3 complete. The nesting box/coop area is now clean, with new floor litter down, ready for when the temperatures finally start to drop. Next up: the food/run area, then the roosting area and “enrichment” area.

Got my kitchen shelves decorated this evening. :)

Danni || Sunny☀️ @duskcipher.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

So it turns out that when they put the hutch up on the wall, the back panel was wallpapered before the dividers and shelves were installed. Soooo… this is going to be fun to try to figure out. I want to avoid taking the whole thing down if I don’t have to, so we will see what I come up with.

Today’s potential adventure: Attempting to remove wallpaper in this decorative wall hutch to replace it with different wallpaper.

It’s actually pretty crazy how drastically my life has changed in 4 years. I cleaned up my act. Got away from bad situations. Started managing my mental and physical well-being. I BOUGHT A HOUSE (something I didn’t think was possible). Now I own chickens, live in the country, and it’s lovely.
