I remember the first time I listened to Massive Attack - it was roughly '96 or '97. I played my friend's copy of Blue Lines because I thought it looked like a metal album. I was so pleasantly wrong.

Saturday night was fun - I again marched with other Necromancers Occult Doombox Krewe ( led by @bitchinville.bsky.social ) with the Boombox Parade in the Bywater. I didn't take a whole lot of photos, but I'm sure others did. Marched from Parleaux to Markey's to Sea Cave to Bud Rips.

Mine was from sleeping on my stomach, arms folded under me - wrists aren't part of my equation. Right was worse as I'd sleep with it like that more, where my left would also go to and under pillow. I'm a lighter sleeper, so once I figured it out I was able to course correct pretty easily.

None of what Trump said is true, of course. Crime rates are low in New Orleans, and have been for quite some time. Additionally, the spike in crime the city did see during the pandemic was part of a broader national increase in crime.

Since this was all remote, I wanted to punch things up a little, so I installed OBS Studio ( obsproject.com ) and made a bit more of an "Aliens" feel for my video feed. I added a heartbeat gif, a live waveform of my mic, and ran it through a CRT effect filter. Pretty happy with it.
