Zasio was given to a gladiator school and later was bought by hobgoblins for their army. He has scars from shackles when he was a slave. The rest are from battle. "Blood is the price of victory." He keeps as many of the scars as possible: they tell his story and are part of his self-identity.

More bugbear. @forgewalfhammer.bsky.social worked hard to get a facial structure that I liked, and the build's long arms and legs were essential components. His scars are lessons. The olive branches are a symbol of the cleric's goddess, who has saved Zasio more than once.
