Mother Nature can humble you very quickly. I was never in a storm close to 1975, but it was always in the back of my mind when stuff got nasty on the lakes. Crazy to think that was 50 years ago, a chunk of the crew I was with was sailing the lakes when the Fitz went down.

I don’t have a Halloween costume this year, but if I did I would wear a Michigan Department of Transportation T-shirt, a traffic cone like a wizard’s hat and I’d cast road construction and delayed commutes. (The closer I am to Detroit, the higher the number I roll)
