I would love to see a full on update of ToyBiz's X2 Nightcrawler. That figure was amazing, I doubt that Hasbro could pull of that these days.

Oh, damn. I honestly forgot all about that and my brain just filled in "ultimate" without really reading it. Yeah, they're gonna charge $60-$70 for a rerelease without even giving us butterfly shoulders.

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Is this not the same figure as the first release?

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

That's why I passed on grabbing this.

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I get it, but I'm just excited for more StarCraft!

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Me too. Glad you brought that pup in, though!

This little girl wandered into my yard a couple years ago w/this tattered collar. My wife and I brought her inside and never looked back. Pretty sure her previous owners dumped her outside cause their dog didn't like cats and told their kids "she'll be fine". Well, they've moved and she's fine now.

The conspiracy part of my brain says Batgirl was actually good, but at that point Gunn was coming on and had a choice between that and Flash, and he wanted a clean break. So he picked Flash to be released. That way, when it tanked, he didn't have to worry about fans demanding Keaton back.

I just finished The Story of Birds by @stevebrusatte.bsky.social and I now have a deeper appreciation and fascination for our avian friends. I've taken to feeding the crows in my neighborhood. Makes me want to go see the fossil of the titanis walleri that's only a few hours away.

Three crows on a driveway with a small pile of cat food. Two are facing left, one is facing right, thinking about eating.

The first time I watched this scene I think I rewound it like 10 times. Just so damn cool. About to get to this part again with my wife who hasn't seen it yet. Very excited!

This is incredible! What an amazing Disney Bound!

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Currently on my rewatch with my wife who hasn't seen it. I think this is my favorite animated show. And that's saying a lot, because I absolutely LOVE Rebels.

Every time something like this comes up I go "yep, The Matrix was right. We peaked as a society in 1999."

000

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

It's not so bad on the other side.

010

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

And are we actually going to hold anybody accountable? Even when this nightmare ends? In betting no.

My weak point for accents would be Scottish, Irish, and then English. If I'm around those for a little bit, I pick it up. And I'm not great at it. Figure if I ever get to visit a bar in Ireland I'll have to buy everybody a round before I start talking!

My mom took me to see Jurassic Park so I took her to see Jurassic World and she asked me after if I would still go, instantly, I said "yes, 100%, I would live there" You couldn't stop me from trying to pet every dinosaur there.

I don't need a new line to collect, but Shaggy, Scooby, and the Space Kook are damn cool.

I didn't even have to hear the clip to know he said something about how he's attracted to her.

Where did you get that fantastic cup? Seriously, my wife loves your channel and I'm going to try to do a little roman/Greek inspired birthday for her. Any other recommendations you've got would be amazing!

Super fun read! I've actually been to the location from The Burning Shores in this volume. Pretty cool to be able to do that.

I'm 42, recently developed an intense interest in birds, I've always been interested in paleontology and evolution. So this was a must. And it's simply fantastic! @stevebrusatte.bsky.social knocks it out of the park. Accessable and informative, I'm loving it!

The book The Story of Birds by Steve Brusatte standing up on a kitchen counter.

Watched it last night. It was the literal 30th anniversary of the movie's release.

I figured you must have, but I couldn't pass it up!

She can definitely get a better deal from the seller.

This looks like it'll be a blast! Definitely going to have pick it up!

@starwarsexplained.com I don't know if you've already got this, or if it's available in your area, but Chronicles of the Jedi is on sale at Ollie's for like $10. They also had The Art of the High Republic at my local store.

This was back in 2015, 21st Century Fox bought National Geographic.

This feels like when Nat Geo was sold to Fox News and now just has articles like "we found Noah's ark!!" (Again)

Three stands at different heights, for three lightsabers.

010

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I was hoping that a sequel would be greenlit, considering the post credits. You don't spend the money to buy two franchises without plans to to use them.

It was one of my favorites growing up!

010

I've had the Pup Named Scooby-Doo theme song stuck in my head since I saw the image

That's from A Pup Named Scooby-Doo

Question: can I instead build Transformers model kits? Possibly expanding into Gundam though I've never watched an episode (movie, comic, game? I don't know anything about Gundam)

010

So you're saying it's a good thing my lefty ass is getting into birding at 41?

Every tech bro: AI is going to be integral to every aspect of your life going forward! Also tech bros: AI is going to completely replace your work force! You can't be actively advocating for adopting a technology that is trying to replace your worth in the workforce.

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

Absolutely fantastic figure, I hope they keep going! I need the entire run of characters, at least from season 1, if not everybody. (My god, a yolopark Depth Charge would be amazing!!)

010

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

Yeah, I think I'm there with you. Just picked up a new sketchbook a little while ago and I'm already not enjoying using moleskine anymore. The AI usage really killed it for me.

030

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

My little hypothesis is that it's Devon's Dark Side saber that Maul still carries by the time of Rebels.

000

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I wasn't able to catch the steam, and I don't know if this is the place, but I've got a question for the weekly pod: Do you still think Maul's Rebels lightsaber is an Inquisitor lightsaber? I don't see them adding another Inquisitor just to die, and it doesn't look like either of the two we've seen

Dave Starfighter @dtorrey867.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

@starwarsexplained.com I'm sure it's been pointed out, but my brain is just catching up. Two-Boots is doing a C-3PO callback with his "I'm surprised you recognize me without my boots" vs the "you probably don't recognize me because of the red arm". Absolutely loving Maul: Shadows Lord
