Reposted by Dylan G.Justin Sevakis @worldofcrap.bsky.social · 14/03/2025This thread drove me nuts. I also wish shoujo manga was more popular, but this is almost entirely misinformation and weeb logic. There were only ever a handful of best sellers in the US. The JPN market also consolidated around shonen. Most of what got published during the boom DID NOT SELL. 1212029
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Criterion Channel is now streaming the Evangelion ADV dub! 000
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 01/09/2026It seems as though despite the The Criterion Channel announcing in their official press release that the Evangelion ADV dub would be streaming and the credits of the episodes listing the ADV cast, it's actually the Netflix dub. Hopefully, this is just a mistake, and it will be fixed soon. 000
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 29/08/2026I appreciate you trying to expand your store to include titles from other publishers, but why would anyone buy Sentai titles from you when they can buy them for far cheaper from Sentai themselves? 000
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 27/07/2026You mean studios can just bring back the original dub casts for reboots of classic anime? That was always an option? #TenchiMuyo 063
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 01/07/2026Now that @animeigo.com is dabbling into producing dubs again, they should really consider going back to recording dubs in North Carolina. @worldofcrap.bsky.social 100

Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 20/06/2026We all sadly knew this day was coming. Most of these actors seem to be unknowns, so hopefully there was a movement among VAs against replacing the OG actors. Of course, no shade towards these actors for accepting the job. They were never going to go with the OGs no matter what. 010

Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 17/10/2025Got my copies of the GKIDS release of Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 a couple days ago. Everything is identical to what's on Amazon, which isn't surprising. 000
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 14/10/2025We won't know for sure until someone from either Funimation or Khara speaks up, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. 000
Reposted by Dylan G.vi @v-i.dev · 13/10/2025Not that this is really going to be a surprise to anyone, but the GKIDS Blu-ray for Evangelion 2.22 came in, and there's no Funimation dub in sight, only the Amazon/Dubbing Brothers one. Will update when 1.11 comes in if it's magically any different. 52919

Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 26/08/2025The only reason the Funi cast isn't going to happen again is because each new studio that gets the license wants to do their own thing instead of continuing what's already been established. The Netflix dub is being done in Dallas, and they totally could've gotten the Funi cast back if they wanted 100
Dylan G. @dtgee.bsky.social · 25/08/2025I wouldn't mind as long as one of them was the Funimation cast. 120
