Recently subscribed to this, and it's really helping rekindle my love for web development that corporate life has tried to squash. Some delightful nuggets in each of the newsletters I've read so far, thanks for making this!

I thought I was going insane, now I know why the bank has been annnoying me. The rest of the changes are whatever, but the search order swap is diabolical. If it had moved somewhere else in the UI it wouldn't be as frustrating, but it's SO CLOSE to where it should be for 100k players. Crazy.

I feel like I might be the crazy one here, but I find dark mode to be significantly harder to read when the content is text-heavy. I shall remain a disgusting light mode creature.

I'm a js/ts enjoyer tho, so your mileage may vary.

I've enjoyed it, but I was specifically looking for a static rendered framework with escape hatches for server-side pages and UI frameworks (React in my case). It does have nice plugins, use astro-pdf to render my resume page to pdf I think if I discard those needs, I'd move to something like 11ty

I had a similar experience, I attempted to build a very small, static-only site on a low-resource VPS, and it kept running out of RAM. I had to enable a fat pagefile to get it to build, and it took minutes. I switched to Astro.

Everyone seems to be awfully upset about tailwind or css lately. Maybe this article will make you a little more excited about it? `:has()` is cool. piccalil.li/blog/a-revis...

Back in the day, Twitter used to be really good if I set up a thread to connect freelancers with clients. Let's see if Bluesky can do it. Clients: if you're looking for freelancers/contractors, get in the comments Freelancers/contractors: get in comments Everyone else: boosts appreciated

This is pretty slick, I've also been interested in stripping down node projects at work. If they can back port the work to 22, we might get native TS support in aws lamdba, which would be huge. Would love to have node, typescript and aws libs be my only deps with no compile step.

The more frameworks you have under your belt, the easier it will be to learn the next "new best thing" that appears. Vue is fun, try it out!

I managed to tune in just for a little bit, but I did see the section where you went over your billboard system for character models and I thought that was very clever. Planning to watch the rest of the vod when I can.

If you're in the north DFW metroplex, I've finally found an exceptional decaf: edisoncoffeeco.com near downtown lewisville. I love their ethiopia decaf, it grinds, brews and tastes fantastic. They sell sell 2/5lb bags, too. Check em out, they're awesome. #coffee #decaf #dfw

I ran into something similar many years ago where if you're on mobile many browsers introduce a magical 300ms delay for the click event because reasons? There are ways to solve it, but boy is THAT not in the docs. Hang in there
