Bicycle parking at the Zurich railway station ca. 1944

Photo of the inside of a train station with six long racks for bicycles, holding them upright on both sides of each rack. The racks appear to be nearly full.

Moved in exactly 6 years ago today and has made my life so much better :) (Total slacker however, spends almost all day sleeping, only interrupted by demands for food and entertainment, makes zero financial contributions to the household). Love her.

I'm sure being with you and having you take care of him makes him even happier.

Oh, I didn't know there was churu for dogs. It's a special treat for my cat... She loves it! Hope Masuke continues to feel better

Our health care system in America is disgusting. A clear indication that our government doesn't give a fuck if we live or die.

The poet Wendell Berry died. This poem has given me much solace during trying times. The Peace of Wild Things Wendell Berry 2/2 onbeing.org/poetry/the-p...

The Peace of Wild
Things
Written and read by Wendell Berry

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron
feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

I had a pleasant experience trying out Sharpie S-gel pens recently, quite nice. Still prefer my fountain pens because of all the ink choices and my ability to adjust the line width (within reason) etc. However, good EDC alternative. Ink dries quickly and seems smudge proof. Nicer than ballpoints!

Yup, didn't wait long to ki$$ Trump's behind. It's all about the money, zero integrity.

They have zero self-respect. Not surprising, sadly. "Do no evil" .. right, I guess enabling is ok however.

"We're just enforcing the law" ... Nazis used the same excuse. Morally corrupt to the core.

100% this. I don't want to hear any talk of "for the unity of the country" we'll let this slide. He and his cronies, down to the individual ICE goons need to be held accountable for the crimes.

I've heard great things, so looking forward giving it a try. I understand the ink is the same in the various pens with jst different bodies, so I'll probably go for the super cheap one first :)

Ah, yes, good point. I wish the cap ends (where you click) had little color indicators, the thin rings at the end of the section aren't always visible when I have a bunch tucked away Really impressed how well they write. Haven't tried Zentos yet, but curious about them. Still love my fountain pens

I'm a die-hard fountain pen user, but I've been trying out few Sharpie S-gel pens and I have to say I'm impressed. Fountain pens give me more colors and ways to adjust the line width, but these are not bad for EDC if you can't or don't want to carry a fountain pen. Ink seems pretty smudge proof too
