There is a lot of muddy legal waters around Elon’s use of his “survey/petition” & payments to encourage (appears as a bribe tho) voting for a particular candidate. An article fully vetting SCOTUS decisions & state nuances allowing this behavior wld be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼

I’m totally fine with deporting gang members who commit crimes who don’t have legal status. I just don’t want Tom Homan or an ICE agent grabbing anyone off the street and flying them to a prison in El Salvador while claiming they are all of those things with zero due process.

So who decides now if someone is a gang member or if someone has a valid asylum claim under the law? Tom Homan? A random ICE agent? A local Sheriff’s deputy? A neighbor? An informant? So they just say a person is in a gang and they get disappeared to a prison in El Salvador?

Judge Kollar-Kotelly grilled counsel for the government on DOGE's command structure. Counsel repeatedly said he didn't know the answer to her questions. The judge said the questions are relevant bc she has concerns about whether DOGE is operating constitutionally under the Appointments Clause.
